"He's gone numb..." Suika said. I nod my head at what she said. "That's to be expected. He may have blocked it. But he still took a hit" I said, holding onto his shoulder. Senku's body is shaking a little in my arms. I let out a soft giggle and gently caress his head.

-Chrome Is Back!-

Y/N P.O.V

Senku's numbness finally ended. He pulls away from me and stands up. He offers his hand to me and help me stand up. I smile softly at him.

"Are you feeling okay?" I said. He smiles and nods his head. "I'm fine..." he said. I let out a sigh. "I did warned you" I said. He just rolls his eyes at what I said.

Gen walks up to us. "That wasn't just glue you were painting onto the paper. Was it?" He said. Senku turn to look at him. "Bingo. Ten billion points for you. I painted molten plastic into it. Combine the flexibility of paper with the rigidity of plastic, and we have carbon resin" he said, slamming his hand on the shield.

"Carbon fiber?!" Gen said, with a shock expression. "Right. It's used in F1 car bodies and rockets. It's ultimate construction material, with SS agility and SS defense" he said, smiling proudly. We start to construct the steam gorilla, strengthening it.

"Look at the steam gorilla!" Ginro said, eyeing the once automobile that's now turned into a tank in awe. "It's ridiculously powered up!" Grandpa Kaseki cooed.

"It's starting to look really tough!" Suika said. I nod my head in agreement. "Indeed..." I said. "We made it a double steam engine, front wheel drive with insanely huge caterpillar-ish wheels" Senku said. We are finally ready to head to Tsukasa's empire.

"Hey, hey... do you think... once we rescue Chrome, we could use the steam gorilla tank to wreck Tsukasa army? Then we might not even have to fight!" Ginro said, while looking at Senku.

Senku let out a chuckle. "If it's still working after we slam into the prison. It's a one-time-use build, only for saving Chrome" he said. "It's such a waste to only use it once, though. If we spent more time mounting a turret on it, we could use it to take over the miracle save or something" Ginro said. I shake my head at what he said.

"Stop thinking about something that's not clear. We have to focus on our mission" I said, sternly. Senku nods his head. "She's right, Ginro. Quit talking in hypotheticals. It's a waste of time" he said. Kohaku let out a huff at what he said.

"If Chrome somehow manage to escape on his own. Things would be quite different..." I said. Ginro point his finger at me. "You said not to think of something that's not clear!" He said. I turn to look at him with a glare. He gulps and walks away awkwardly. I roll my eyes at him. Senku wraps his arm around me. I place my head against his chest, hugging him back.

We pull away from the hug. Senku turns to look at the others. "It's time to begin our mission to save Chrome. The mission objectives are simple. First, we break down Chrome's bamboo prison with the powered-up steam gorilla. Then we run... that's all" he said.

"It's so simple" Suika said, making me nod my head. But I'm not surprise. Senku have no problem in disposing his things. Even if it's his beloved project. As soon as it's not working anymore, he gets rid of them without any hesitation.

"We can't trash our adorable steam gorilla!" Granpa Kaseki wailed. I sweat-drop at what he said. He still treats the steam gorilla as if it's his own kid. Ruri and Kohaku walks up to us.

"We don't have much time, though. This is Chrome we're talking about. At some point, he's going to run his mouth" Kohaku said. I let out a sigh and close my eyes. I can almost imagine that happening. Chrome may be a smart guy. But he's kind of a big mouth. He will run his mouth at some point.

"We may already be too late..." she added. I place my hand on her shoulder. "We have to have a little faith in Chrome. I believe in him..." I said. She let out a sigh and nod her head.

"I'm just going to use the telescope and keep a look out..." she said. I nod my head in agreement. "As soon as anything happen... let us know" I said. "Of course..." she said, nodding her head. She turns her body around and walks off.

A While Later

"Chrome's back!!" Suika yelled out. I turn my head and notice Chrome walking towards us, with his arm around Kohaku's shoulder for support. "You escape by yourself? Not bad!" Grandpa Kaseki said. He told us how he manage to find our camp.

"How do you break out of your bamboo prison?" I said. He turns to look at me. "Oh, check out my science! I made that melty chemical using salt and a battery. Sodium hydroxide, was it?" He said. I raise an eyebrow at what he said.

"Sweat doesn't contains salt. So I think that's not sodium hydroxide that you made..." I said. "Sodium hydrochloride... that's what you actually made" Senku said, as he walks up towards us. While the others talking, I notice something red on the corner of Chrome's lips.

"Why are you bleeding?" I asked. Chrome suddenly starts to cough out something red. "This is what happened when I was ill!" Ruri said, staring at him worriedly. Chrome suddenly smiles innocently.

"Kidding!" He said. Suika have tears in her eyes as she didn't understand what's happening. "What's happening, Chrome..." she said. I turn my head and notice Senku inspecting the liquid. He let out a laugh as soon as he realize what it is.

"You use this to fool your pursuer?" He said. "Why? What's that?" I said. "A mixture of sorrel and shiso... it turned into red water" Chrome said. I let out a soft laugh and shake my head. "What a prankster... you just had to pull that trick on us, huh?" I said. He let out a laugh. I walk towards him and wrap my arms around him.

"It's good to see you're okay..." I said. He wraps his arms around me. "Thanks, Y/N" he said. I pull away and grin at him.

"Although, I'm kinda surprise that you manage to keep your science tool..." I said. He shakes his head. "Oh, Taiju helped me out..." he said. I stare at him in surprise.

"No... can't be him..." I said. "Yuzuriha then?" He said. I shake my head. "Can't be her either. Senku gave her a mission. So she's hella busy..." I said. He hums and shrugs.

"Well, what does it matter? Someone saved me!" He said. I just nod my head. Chrome is saved. That's all that matters. But I can't help but wonder who could helped him. My eyes soften as I though of someone possible. Someone I knew who have a pure and gentle heart. It's you? Wasn't it...
