In winter we flocked together: kept warm by the affection of one the other.
In spring we held arms
as we walked through the rains and we covered- one the other in our quilt.
The yellow leaves would bloom and with it the feelings we had for each other in Autumn's passing.
The warmth of Summer's sun on our skin as we ran through the fields:
Do you remember these days so far when the lights of our hearts was all we had to navigate the darkness without?
Let's sing then of days gone by and remember all we have lost.
On this the day of my origin, let's not sing for joy.
But reminisce of days gone by, rejoice for all we have and pray for days to come.Oh today let's burn a pyre and hold a torch for auld lang syne
