As much as she hoped, wished for the arms around her to belong to the man she loved, she knew her silent prayers would go unanswered, because it wasn't him.
The gods were cruel, staring down at the broken girl with sadistic looks of fake pity as they planned out more heart shattering moments. They wanted to see how much she could take, even after she is broken.
She thought her pain over Ben had ended, she thought she had let go, but everything she worked so hard to build crumbled around her from one word.
For years she had longed to hear him say her name, just one last time, and now that she has got that she couldn't accept it. He wasn't her Ben, but at the same time, he was.
All in one moment her mind was jumbled into nothing but an emotional mess. Grief flooded through every cell in her body, as her heart continued to thud, like Thunder on a stormy night.
Her hair was being pet, trying to calm down the shaken girl, but how do you calm down someone who lost the love of their life twice, only to see him alive, with a daughter?
Klaus softly sang, it was a song he would sing when they were younger, and she would have nightmares.
"You okay, Libi?" A stupid question on Klaus' part but a question that got a laugh out of her all the same.
"I don't think so, it's a lot of information to take in, Especially in such a short time frame." Her response was soft and a little hoarse, like if she were to speak any louder she would start crying all over again.
The sound of yelling put both Libitina and Klaus on High alert. She pushed her feelings to the side, she would need to deal with those at some point, but for now it sounded like a fight was about to break out. If one was then her family needed her.
both Hargreeves siblings ran back into what used to be their house, Libitina wiping away her dried tears. Her eyes were still bloodshot, it was obvious she was just crying.
her eyes avoided Ben's figure all together, she couldn't look at him in her fragile state.
She made her way over to Diego, who had just been hit by some venom type stuff, glancing across the room she could see that the dark haired girl who called her their sister was directly across from him.
Reaching up, Libitina snapped her fingers in-front of him. "we'll have to settle this the old fashion way." Came a voice, from who she could only assume was number one.
"Agreed." Luther took a few steps forward as he spoke, him and the sparrows number one facing off.
All of them expected a fight to break out but he started, dancing...?
