Pots and pans lightly bang around the kitchen as very few students are awake at 6:45am on a Saturday. A whine comes from the entry way as Izuku looks up with a smudge of whipped cream on his cheek. "What are you doing, Midoriya?"
"Sorry for the noise, Mina." Izuku apologizes, tongue out in concentration as he neatly places everything on a tray. "I'm almost done."
"Done with wha-?! Holy cow! Midoriya, that looks super yummy!" Mina's eyes sparkle as she looks over the ensemble of foods on the pale pink tray. A strawberry fruit sandwich, cinnamon french toast lightly dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with syrup, two scrambled eggs and three small chicken sausages. "Whose all of this for?"
"O-Oh uh... It's..." Izuku stammers, face red as he rubs a hand behind his neck. "I-I can't say who yet. I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea...."
"Fine, I'm too tired to push for more details. I'll leave you be for now. I expect information later."
"Will do!" Izuku beams, grabbing the tray and heading towards the elevators. Pressing the 4th button, he stands determined as he clutches the tray harder. "What do I even say to her? It's been a few hours since I made her cry. I couldn't even respond. I heard most of what she said and yet... my mouth wouldn't move. If she doesn't accept my excuses, I wouldn't blame her. I just don't want to lose my first friend..."
The elevator opening snaps him out of his mumbling as he walks to the first door on the girls' side. Lifting a hand, he knocks calmly as a small 'coming' is heard from the other side of the door. "It's not even 7 am and it's Saturday. Who is...? Deku?"
"H-hey Ochaco! I made you some breakfast and I-I wanted to talk to you, if that's okay?" He tilts his head, mind swirling with worry from potential rejection as she wipes at her eyes.
Her face slowly turns red as she realizes how she looks before shaking her head, opening the door wider as she steps to the side. "Okay... thank you for the meal."
"It was no problem. It's actually my apology to you. It's the least I could do to how incompetent I was yesterday. Sorry for not responding to your confession. I was just at a loss for words." Izuku explains, placing the tray on her nightstand as she nods slowly; taking a sip of water. "As I told you before, I never really had friends growing up due to me being deemed quirkless. I never had anyone confess to me like that, so I didn't know what to do even if you didn't directly say anything to me. I don't want to lose you as a friend, you're my best and first friend here at UA. It'd be a shame if I lost you already."
"Izuku..." She whispers, listening to him ramble as he looks off with reddened cheeks.
"I don't want to lose you, but yet I knew how you felt for months now. You weren't exactly subtle in expressing yourself. I just didn't know how to respond, I still don't quite know. I've never experienced love or thought people could look at me with such raw emotion. But you did and I said nothing." Izuku sighs, placing his head in his hands. "It's pathetic. I came in here not even knowing what I was going to say to you. I don't want to end on a ramble. Ochaco Uraraka, will you go out with me?"
"H-huh?!" She squeals as he grabs her free hand, looking her straight in the eyes with conviction.
"I've been thinking since I've first known about your feelings for me. I didn't want to lose a friend, but I won't be losing a friend. I'd be gaining family. Rather than believing I'd mess things up with you, I can try my hardest to prove that I can be your hero and your partner. You said you love me? Well..." He gulps, face flaming as his eyes remain unwavered. "I love you, too! I won't let you worry about me without me worrying about you. You can tell me anything and I won't leave your side. Just like how you wish to protect me, I wish to protect you with all that I have. So what do you say? Will you go out with me, Ochaco?"
"O-of course Izuku!" Tears trickle down her cheeks as she sniffles, wiping her eyes as she whimpers; wrapping her arms around him as he does the same in holding her close. "Y-you do know that we have that dinner today, right?"
"I know. I made reservations at DuLier. I wanted to make this go as smoothly as possible. I invited my mother as well, it's the least I can do for worrying her so much. So both our families will be there." He pulls back from the hug, still holding her as he smiles. "I promise I'll take you out properly. We can plan a date on our way back to the dorms, unless you plan on going home for the weekend?"
"No, no. I'm staying this weekend, so yeah. We can plan on the way back." Ochaco nods, earning a chuckle from the greenette who cups her cheek gently.
"Okay, good."

After that whole talk with Izuku, Ochaco immediately turns to her pillow and screams into it; extremely happy with how everything turned out. "He asked me out. He actually asked me out. I didn't know he could do that!? I thought he didn't know anything about love! He said he loved me! Oh my goodness... I need to get my things ready."
