True to her word, Risa did stayed with the Robredos until Leni felt better and was able to go to work.
"Good morning, nandyan si Leni?" Risa asks one of the staffs the moment she entered the Office of the President.
"Ay, Senator Hontiveros! Opo, nandyan po, kaso mukhang bad mood po si madam." The staff replied with an apologetic smile. "Ingat kayo Senator baka pati kayo malamon ng leon."
Risa laughs. "Sige, maraming salamat ha, iha. Maiwan na kita." The senator gave the female staff a light squeeze on the arm before heading towards the office.
As she got near, she saw Kit exiting the room with a defeated look on his face, his hand finding its way into his neck to stratch it.
"Kit!"
The said man look towards Risa. "Uy, ikaw pala Ris. Napadalaw ka." He greets. "May kailangan ka kay Leni?"
"Ah, oo. May dala akong lunch para sa kanya, baka kasi maisipan nanaman nya mag-skip." Risa says. "Eh ikaw, kamusta? Mukhang na-sermonan ka ng Leon ng Bicol ha?"
Kit laughs at the senator's remark. "Tunog 'Tigre ng Norte' at 'Agila ng Davao' lang yang Leon ng Bicol ah." Risa laughs along with him. "Pero oo, nagka problema kasi sa donation drive para doon sa mga binagyo, kailangan ayusin kaagad, kaso kulang sa man power."
Risa hums. "May naisip akong solusyon dyan, pero ako na kakausap kay Leni mismo about it. May kausap pa ba sya?"
"Wala na. Mamayang one pa yung sunod na meeting nya eh."
"Ah sige, salamat Kit! Mag-lunch ka na!"
Kit nods, bidding his good bye to the senator before leaving Risa alone. She took a deep breath before knocking at the door, already expecting a very angry Leni Robredo to welcome her.
"Pasok!"
Ah there it is. Risa twisted the knob open and slowly creeps into the room. She found Leni in her chair, sporting a frown. "Hi Pres." Risa greets with a smile. "Why the long face?"
Leni groans.
"I know, I heard of it from Kit." Risa says. "I have a remedy for your problem. But first," She placed the lunchbox before the President and taps it. "You need to eat."
Leni looks at it. "Di pa ako—"
"Kakainin mo to or susubuan pa kita?"
"Sabi ko 'di pa ako nakakapag hugas ng kamay', patapusin mo muna kasi ako Risa." Leni says as an excuse, standing up from her swivel chair. Risa grins in victory.
"Akala ko may sasabihin ka pa eh."
Leni chuckles. She wouldn't want to argue with Risa anyways — not that she couldn't win an argument against her, its just that she likes to let Risa get away with it. Unless if Risa tries to keep her toes dipped on bad side then she'd probably deal with Attorney Leni instead of Leni, Risa's Bestest Friend™.
"Tara na Lens, lalamig tong Bicol Express!"
The President perked up. "Ikaw nagluto niyan?"
"Yep." Risa answers. "First time ko magluto neto kaya feel free to judge my skills."
"Sure kang niluto mo or si Pia gumawa?"
Risa slapped her arm, making Leni wince. "Aray ko naman, ang bigat talaga ng kamay mo." The older woman complained as she rubbed the sore part.
"Desurve mo yan kasi ang kapal ng mukha mo, ako kaya gumawa nyan!"
