Pia knew right away when something is bothering her dearest sister.

As soon as she entered the household, she found Risa pacing back and forth while chewing on her bottom lip, deep in her thoughts. She was still wearing her work clothes, indicating that she either arrived a few minutes later than Pia did or Risa was too busy that she forgot to change her clothes.

Pia confirmed that senator was clearly preoccupied that when she didn't notice the younger Hontiveros approaching her.

"Are you okay, ate?"

Risa shrieked a bit in surprise, holding her chest as she tried to calm down. "Pia! Aatakihin naman ako sa puso neto!"

"Kanina pa kita tinatawag pero mukhang busy ka ata. May problema ba?"

The older Hontiveros looked away. "Wala naman."

"Talaga lang ha?"

"Bakit ba gustong-gusto mo malaman?"

"Kanina ka pa kaya palakad-lakad sa sala, kahit mga alaga mo hilong-hilo na sayo." Pia then points to where her dogs and cats were. "Kanina ka pa kaya nila pinapanood dyan."

Risa rubs her temples. "Ate." Pia calls out once again.

"I think I like Leni." Risa blurs out, cutting her off.

"Ay, ngayon mo lang nalaman?"

"Ha?"

Pia sat down on the nearby sofa and grabs one of the cats who was lounging near it and starts to pet it.

"Ate, we all know that you are clearly head over the heels with the President, even before she became the VP and now the top leader of the country." The news anchor explains. "And you are just too dense to see that your own actions are already contradicts what you say to everyone."

"Na?"

"Na you and Leni are just close friends, kumare even."

Risa was about to rebut but Pia beated her to it.

"You can deny all you want and you can continue lying to everybody else ate, pero you are my sister and I know what you really feel for her. Also, both of your eyes never lie. We know that the lingering stares you have for one another is not just some kumare or some close friends type of thing. It's something else."

Risa sighs. She knew her sister's words hit home and there was no way she could ever try to deny it.

"What are going to do now ate? Now that you're finally aware of what you feel."

"Nothing."

"Ah— ha teka bakit?!"

Risa looks at Pia as if to tell her 'is it obvious?', the news anchor frowned, clearly not getting the hint. "I don't want to."

"But wh—"

"I don't want to lose Leni." Risa says. "It would be the death of me."

"Hala sya, hindi ko alam na uso pa pala maging martyr ngayon."

Leni glared at the Vice President before her. Kiko just shrugged. "Leni, you're the bravest woman I've ever met. You've went against countless things being thrown at your way, even the lies told by the former president, pero why can't you apply that bravery kay Risa?"
