"You've talked to mum?" Matthew asked. "Once or twice a year. I don't do it often, because you can't live in the past, but Yes." Doris said, matt looked over at the sleeping boy in the bed, nuzzled in the blanket. Just worried about him. "Am I really acting so differently?" He asked. "You never really dealt with what happened, Matthew. You buried yourself in your school work, the young children and then just work." Doris said. "I couldn't let myself fall apart. I understand you lost your sister, Doris, but you don't understand. It's not the same. We were together form the start." Matthew said. "I know, Matthew." Doris said, before she pulled out her wand. It glowed, but the room kept empty. "Someplace familiar would be best, the room used the most. He should be waiting, but something you do need to know. He never really left you." Doris said. "It wasn't the same, I know you know that." Matthew said. "I do know, yes."
Matthew was slow to opened the door, he wasn't sure what to expect, but a younger almost exactly version of himself, sitting on the bed that was once his. Matthew put his hands in his pockets, easing to sit on the other bed. Mark looked like his young adult self, when it has been almost eighteen years. It was really hard to believed, but it did make sense, a lot of his family had magic in them, rather they used them or not. "Doris tells me a lot you know?" Mark sat, sitting cross legged on the bed. "You've talked to Doris?" Matthew ask. "We all have you know? She normally doesn't bring us to her world, she just visits us. She was never sure when you'd be ready to talk to me, without you having to be drunk to accept it." Mark said. "So that really was you?" He asked. "Yes, but you lost a lot that day, more then just me." He said. "What do you mean?" Matthew asked. "Mom and Doris, ages were ten years apart. Doris used her magic, mom not so much. We used to with dad, do you not remember?" Mark asked. "Not me personally." Mark said. "I guess that was me that used her wand, anyway. We got into more things then you really think about?" He said. "I haven't wanted to think about a lot of things Mark." Matthew said before a sleepy boy pushed opened the bedroom door. "You haven't went back to bed?" Freddy yawned, not effect by the younger man in the room. "I'm up for the day, but you little man should be sleeping, again." Matthew said, before Freddy yawned and climbed on his lap. He waved at Mark. "Hi, Mark." Freddy said, he smiled. "Hi, there. Somebody looks comfortable." Mark said and he nodded. "Daddy had been making that awful noise with his teeth again." Fred yawned. "Your daddy needs braces, but he doesn't seem to like that idea." Matthew said as Freddy yawned again. "He doesn't like that gas stuff, and he fixes his teeth sometimes. Just not much magic. Until after the babies." Freddy said. "Alright."
Freddy doze off in his lap and Mark and Matthew talked for quiet a few hours. It helped Matthew, but he really wasn't ready for Mark to leave, who just walked out the room when it came to be time he returned to his home.
