--Two weeks later--
--December 29th--

Two very fast weeks went by in that house Matthew moved them all into. They couldn't be move thankful to be all together, because they needed the body heat. That was for sure.

It has been snowing for two days straight, hard, and it knocked the power out the night before. Matthew had the generator going, but such a large home, it was only going through the main rooms, the downstairs rooms, to try and save on gasoline. The fire place was also going, but the road outside was in so poor condition, nobody could go to work, or school. So, Doris boyfriend and his son, parker and Nathan, were also stuck, but Parker didn't mind.

Doris got the children playing before she turned her attention to Hermione, who was sitting very uncomfortable on the couch, watching her 11 month old daughter playing with a toy beside her mommy. "Hermione, what's wrong dear?" She asked, easing down beside her. "Nothing bad, Doris. I suppose I'm still cold and a bit drained. Nobody sleeps well on freezing temperatures." Hermione pointed out and she smiled lightly. "The fire place should keep it a lot warmer down here, but the Genny just isn't able to run throughout the whole home." Doris said. "I'm not that worried about it. I'm probably going to just go lay down shortly. Kyle should be back downstairs shortly." Hermione said. "I'll watch the baby, go rest." Doris said, picking up Rose and putting the baby on her lap.

It wouldn't take long for her boyfriend to sit beside her, looking over at Rose. "Have you...thought about your own?" He asked. "You were sweet to offer, but I doubt I could get pregnant. I'm 48." She said, looking down at the baby in her lap. "There are ways to make it possible, we would just have to get it started sooner rather then later." He said. "Let me think on it...but I don't think so. There's plenty of little ones around anyway." Doris said. "But not one of your own. I know at one point in time, you wanted your own." He said softly. "I did, but right now? My time is meant to help Matthrew and his family and your son. I believe I am okay." She said, giving him a light smile. After a pause, he placed a light kiss on her cheek. "You are sweet." He said.

Matthew would be called to check on Hermione a bit later, and it was good (and bad) new. Hermione was in labor, but the conditions on the road, wasn't safe. "What if something goes wrong?" She whispered. "Then we will handle it then, I promise, but it's safer if we just take care of it here. Traveling to the hospital, in this condition? Isn't smart and I've delivery a million little ones it seems like. You haven't a thing to worry about." He said and she let out a sigh, before a long breath. "Okay... I'd...like to try and get a bit more rest, before it becomes to much." She said. So, Matthew would leave to let her rest, turning his attention to his own twins. They were two months old, being held by their new big sister, a little girl name Joy, who at in the playpen holding the babies. Matthew walked over to the playpen. "Joy, promise you were careful with the babies?" Matthew asked. "I careful! Like...um!" She giggled and he smiled lightly. "I'm glad sweet girl. Just let me know when you are ready to get out, okay?" He asked. "Omise!" She said.

-

Matthew placed a kiss on his partner cheek, who smiled lightly. "Hello, Love." George said. "Hey. Your mom, she should know Hermione is in labor. Even if that child isn't technically her grandchild." Matthew said. "Oh, he is most certainly her grandson. You know how she is." He pointed out. "I do. You can gave her a call, if you'd like." Matthrew said. "Alright, I will here shortly. Kyle and I, in a day or so, are going to opened the store back up after the holiday. So, I'd be gone most of the day for a few days. It takes a bit to get all the paperwork in order." He said. "That's fine, I'm off until mid January, I believe? So leave the girls, please." Matthew said. "Of course!"

-

"Matthrew, let me ask you a hypothetical question." Parker asked. "Er, sure. What's up?" Matthrew asked, holding his hospital bag. "Say my sister, who closer to 50 then 45, is pregnant." He said. "Are you asking about risks? Because each pregnancy does have its own risks, but woman (or men in magical cases) of such ages have a more difficult time with carrying a baby to term. It would...also depends on the health and history of your sister, but often times, termination is best." Matthrew said. "Say that isn't an option, religious reasons, what can help?" Parker said. "Have your sister come seem me, Parker. I won't even charge her." Matthew said, going to turn away. "I said it was a hypothetical." Parker said. "Your asking for a reason, Parker. So who is if it isn't your sister?"Matthew asked. "Nobody, currently, I was just...trying to gather some information, maybe change a mind." Parker said and Matthew let out a sigh, before he turned around. "Doris, has other complications then her age, Parker. Her ex, really did a number on her. Even in her prime, so to say, convincing would be difficult. She, unfortunately, gave that dream up a long time ago." Matthew said. "She wouldn't have to carry. I have the money to cover other options." Parker said. "Then just keep trying to talk to her. I'll...see if I can try and help, but I can't promise anything." Matthew said. "thank you."

--

Thankful, it was a fast and easy delivery. The little bitty baby boy laid in Hermione arms, nuzzled in a blanket. He was healthy and mommy would be okay. She couldn't really believe she just had another baby, before her daughter was even one, even if it was only by a few weeks. It had been one hell of a year. She was thankful and she was looking forward to the next chapter of her life, a mommy of two and now engaged to Kyle, after the brith of their son.
