It all seemed so familiar to her, except at the time of the war she was pregnant with Atticus. Meaning nineteen years ago this war had first started. Where did all the time go? As she peered around the area, holding Ezra in her arms, canons were being fired and bullets were being thrown. Swords were in the air, dead bodies lying in the dirt and grass, and even worse...Winona had spotted a church full of children. They were afraid, screaming as they watched out the windows as death seemed to take over their home.

Ezra hid his face in her shoulder, hanging onto her hair tightly as the woman slowly made her way over to the church. They were scared at first, noticing the skull tattoo that defined each witch. Hers had a thorned vine wrapped around the skull, symbolizing her being a green witch. However, when the children noticed that she was only there to help they all seemed to relax.

"Hello," she said gently as she slowly sat Ezra back on his feet. She needed a way to distract them to keep them calm. She wasn't going to allow any of them to be harmed by the war. Her fingers started to glow a mossy green color, allowing a large bubble to form over the church. It was a safety barrier, not allowing anything to enter the safety of the bubble. Nothing could harm it until, of course, it was broken.

Vienna was with her, nervously fiddling with the bandage around her eyes. However, despite being partially blind she was in fact an astrology witch. Her own skull tattoo had her zodiac sign placed near the forehead, capricorn. With the darkness of the bandage it was almost like she had a third eye, in a way. Winona had always been so impressed with her daughter's powers, despite being blind she could still see the world around as long as there was complete darkness. However, Winona could tell that she was spectating Reyna and making sure she was safe and alive.

With a sigh of relief, Vienna turned her head towards her mother. "You killed him, didn't you?" She asked. She was talking about Jack, which would make sense considering her powers and whatever. She probably saw in the future before she left with Atticus.

Winona only nodded before forgetting her daughter couldn't see her. "Yes, I did." Her voice came out in a small mumble. She didn't look at Vienna, but instead kept her gaze on the children as she attempted to calm them down. They were all clinging to her legs and waist, one of them shaking so bad he nearly threw up on the jacket Diana had given her.

Vienna didn't speak, but instead sat down with her back against the wall and knees up towards her chest. Whatever Vienna knew about Winona's late husband, she didn't speak but instead mourned a death.

However, it wasn't Jack's death that she was mourning.

It was her own.

They pierced one of the soldiers in the chest before withdrawing their blade, watching as the witch had fallen to his knees. Hollis then turned to glance around the clearing, a small grin spreading across their cheeks at the death that was taking over the kingdom they have lived in for years. Of course, they weren't exactly human - hence why they were forced to live in isolation away from the kingdom's palace and instead a prairie.

None of them needed to know what species they were, quite frankly they felt it was none of anybody's buisness. It was very dysphoric considering only females were born of their species, except their father who only happened to be just a regular destructive human being.

Their own kind was destroyed and had nearly gone extinct, causing their species to migrate to some other woods outside of the one that surrounded the Witch Woods and Shelby Kingdom.

Hollis had been from a family of nymphs. Of course, nymphs were only female born - hence why they didn't talk about where they were from much and why they were thrown out of the nymph families. However, they often called themselves human. Their father was that creature, but glancing around the clearing they much preferred the dysphoric term 'nymph' over the war term 'human'.

They suddenly then jumped out of their thoughts, turning around to see a bullet zip through the air towards Reyna. Hollis' feet moved quickly, their arms wrapping themselves around the female as they tackled her to the ground.

Reyna panted, looking up at Hollis with a surprised expression. She didn't seem to expect them to defend her so easily, which how could they not? They were on her side of the war. Was she just another person who judged them too quickly?

Realizing they were still placed on top of her, they came to a stance and grinned. "Yes! I've saved you! Hollis for the win! I knew I was a good person!"

Reyna widened her eyes, propping herself on her elbows. "Hollis..." she whispered as her eyes wandered to their chest that was dripping with blood. They didn't seem to notice, honestly happy that for once in their goddamn life they hadn't been told they were a disgrace by their own family or how unlikable they were.

Happiness spread across their cheeks as their vision started growing blurry. "I did good...right? I did good?" They asked, their voice dripping with weakness. Reyna placed her hands on their chest, causing Hollis to shake their head.

When they finally realized the bullet had struck them, their eyes started to grow hard and angry. Their stupid bickering cost them their life. Didn't these families understand that they were acting as if they had been children?

"Curse your families. Curse all your families. All of them."

Their body then dropped on top of Reyna.
