Jayden's POV

After helping Alpha Lehmann and his men get settled, I returned to my office. As I shift thru paperwork, Jays enters.
(Jays is from Australia)

'How may I help you?' I ask when she sits across from me.

'Yes, I was wondering why you let me hit you?' She asks shifting in her seat obviously uncomfortable. Putting my pen down and the paperwork aside. I look up at her and sigh.

'The reason I let you was because I understood your pain.' I say looking at face waiting for her reaction.

'You've had a child?' She asks thinking it thru.

'Yes and no. I woke up one day and after a couple of weeks, I started feeling sick so I went to the doctor and he told me I had lost the baby.' I say standing.

'But that's not possible unless it was your mate.' She says deep in thought.

'That I do not know. What I do is that I lost them before I held them.' Turning my back to her and watched Bo train the teens in combat.

'Have you found your mate?' She asks coming to stand next to me. With a sigh I reply....'Yes I found him today' Her eyes widen in understanding.

'Is it Alpha Axel?' She asks putting her hand on my shoulder. Turning back to face her, I nod my head in defeat. Someone has to know the stress I feel about this.

'Do you feel like you can't be with him because of the war and pack back home?' She asks. I now know why she was a Luna. The kind understanding, the soft smile, fierce loyalty to the Alpha and an open heart. I don't have any of that, so why am I an Alphas mate.

'Yes and no, the war is an excuse, my pack is a shield, and my lack of Luna qualities is what's stopping me' With a bowed head and sagged shoulders I don't really look like an Alpha at the moment.
