Chapter 10

Jayden's POV

4months later (14 months left of Jayden's tour)

Leaving Axel in the hospital was the hardest thing I've ever done. I haven't seen him since I did though. Jakob refuses to be anywhere near me, I don't blame him. Bo and Jays have been helping out a lot as I keep locked up in my office most of the time.

About 2months ago rouges attack again, killing a 100 more wolves. I earned another batch of scars. My entire back is covered now, but the rogues keep coming. Axel's men have been taking small groups of kids and teens back to a safe zone 2 days drive from here.

I've failed as an Alpha and everyone knows it.

Sighing, I take a seat at the window seat in my office. When someone knocks.

'Enter. Eingeben.' I say even if its not him. Whoever it is enters and takes a seat on the couch.

'Everyone is gone Jayden' Bo informs me.

'Good, head to the King then Bo. Tell him I'm staying behind.' I say watching Jays and Raj load the last of the teens up.

'But Alpha that's a death wish!' He shouts, we've become close since this all started. If I could take him home with me I would make him my Future Beta.

'I know' I mumble back. 'Its time I finished this.' I say standing.

'But--' He starts but I cut him off with an Alpha command. 'Go home Bo!' With that he leaves me. I walk out just as everyone drives off, well not everyone....

'Was machen Sie hier schön zu tun? What are you doing here Beautiful?' Axel says walking up behind me.

'Ich dachte, Sie verlassen hatte. I thought you had left.' I say facing him.

'Ich blieb zurück, um die Schurken zu erledigen. I stayed behind to finish off the rouges.' He says running a hand thru his dark hair.

'Ich war aus dem gleichen Grund. I stayed for the same reason.' I say walking to the middle of the field.

'I know your y'all there, so just come out already!' I shout at the treeline. Axel stands next to me tense as a tree as the rouges walk out of the woods.

I see about 300 all together but there could be more hiding. Man am I glad my dad trained me to be the best. If I live I need to thank him. A single wolf walks past the others, must be the leader.

'Verschiebung! Shift!' Axel yells at him full Alpha mode. The dude shifts and I turn away as he pulls on basketball shorts.

'What do you want?' I yell turning back around. He laughs at me making me glare. 'WELL?' He finally controls his laughter and replies 'my Master wants this land and you sweetheart!'

Axel growls at him, out the corner of my eye I see his eyes turn black. S*** he's on the verge of shifting and killing the dude.

'Zucker? Sugar?' I say laying my hand on his forearm. He looks down at my hand, and I see his eyes return to their blue color I love.

'Why me?' I ask, facing the rouge again.

'Because you are the strongest Female shifter to walk the earth.' He says grinning like a kid on Christmas.

Axel slips behind me and buries his face in my hair, breathing in my scent. He wraps his arms around my waist and I relax into his chest. The rouge growls at the action and he shifts back angry. As the wolves come running me and Axel meet them head on.

Taking one after another, I notice them starting to separate me from Axel. Shifting into my husky wolf, I tear into rouges left and right, trying to reach Axel. He turns and notices the distance between us and fights his way to me as well.

Out of nowhere a huge black wolf jumps on my back pinning me.

"Axel!" I cry thru the link.

"Jayden!" He calls back as the wolf drags me away from him. Axel shifts tearing 6 rouges to pieces and running after me. That's when I realize all the rouges are either dead or dying. We did it, its finally over. The last thing I see is Axel jumping at the black wolf before I pass out.

14months later (her tour is over now)

I woke up 2months ago after being in a coma from who knows how. I was back home now preparing for the Alpha Ball. I've begun my Alpha Training and will be handed the title 2days from now.

Since I woke up I've been trying to remember what caused the coma but I can't find anything. Everyone keeps asking about Axel but I don't know who their talking about, they say he's my mate. Yeah right like a any body would want a scared female for a mate.

"Jayden, in my office now!" My father orders thru the link.

"Yes, Alpha" I reply running to the pack house from the training field. I wonder what he wants now.
