Until I Met You

Giving in

Eddie takes you and Brittany home from school that day. You say goodbye and he gives you a hug. He gets back in his car and watched him as he drove off. As soon as you get inside, you run up the stairs.
"Hey girls! How was your second day?" Your mom yells.
"Great!" You said as you were running up the stairs. As soon as you got to your room, you plopped on your bed. You could still feel the butterflies in your stomach. You bury your face in your pillow and squeal. You flip onto your back and stare at the ceiling, still thinking about what just happened. You never thought in a million years your first kiss would be in the school nurses office with the school freak. You always thought you would have one of those romantic first kisses under the stars with some extremely handsome high school jock, but it was far from that. Even though it wasn't what you thought it would be, you couldn't have asked for a better first kiss. Something about kissing Eddie "the freak" Munson in the nurses office... you just felt so happy. You get your head out of the clouds and remember your homework that you have to do. You sit down at your desk and start on your homework.

A few hours pass, and you start to get ready for bed. You put on athletic shorts and an oversized T-shirt. You sit on your bed, turn on your lamp, and read a book. You always read a book at night, because it helps calm you down, you forget about reality, and you feel like you're in a different reality. You get interrupted when you hear a knocking at your window. You make a confused face as you open the window.
"Eddie? What are you doing here? It's late." You whispered so your family won't wake up. He stumbles into your room.
"Hm, nice place you got here. Very... organized." He looks around.
"Thanks, but you didn't answer my question." You say to him.
"Oh yea, well I couldn't stop thinking about you and what happened today, and now that I have your address, I can basically just come over whenever I want."
"Well, not at 11 pm." You say.
"C'mon, Y/n, you know you're happy I came over." He smirks.
"Okay fine, I will admit it, I couldn't stop thinking about you either." You smile. "But of my mom finds out you snuck in, she's gonna kill me!"
"Hey don't worry about that right now. I know I'm usually loud, but I can be quiet too." He says.
"I have a hard time believing that after how loud you were climbing through my window." You look at him and raise your eyebrows.
"Hey, in my defense, you have a very loud window." You both quietly chuckle.
"So what did you want anyway?" You say.
"I already told you. I couldn't stop thinking of you, so I decided to just see you." He smiles. You two stare at each other for a couple seconds, but he breaks the stare to pull something out of his pocket.
"Here, I wanted to give you this." It's a necklace with a guitar pick on it. You look at it and back up at him kind of confused. He pulls down the collar on his shirt revealing he's wearing a guitar pick necklace just like the one you're holding in your hand.
"Now we have matching ones." He says.
"I love it, Eddie." You say, smiling. He looks down, but you could still see him blushing.
"I know it's not much, but I just thought it was cute. You have to promise me you will wear it everyday all day, okay?" He says.
"I will. Do you promise you will wear yours every day all day?"
"I promise." He softly smiles. At this point, you two are standing so close to each other, your noses are almost touching. He grabs your waist and looks you in the eyes. You can't help but stare into his big, brown eyes. You put your hands on his shoulders and kiss him. He pulls you in closer, and puts his hands on your face. He picks you up and throws you over his shoulder.
"Eddie what are you doing?" You say while laughing. He throws you onto the bed and keeps kissing you. He then breaks the kiss and pulls the covers over your head while he playfully tackles you. You both try your hardest not to laugh too loud, because you don't want to get caught.
"Eddie, let me go! I'm suffocating!" You say while laughing. He lets you go and pulls you in close to his chest by the waist and hugs you. He buries his head in your shoulder and kisses your neck. You hear footsteps downstairs.
"Eddie, you should probably go before we get caught." You say.
"Your right. I'll see you tomorrow though right?"
"Bright and early. You're taking me to school again." You say and smile at him. He smiles back.
"See you then Y/n." He says then climbs out the window and closes is for you. Just as you lay back down, your mom walks in.
"Everything okay, Y/n? I thought I heard something." She says, looking concerned.
"Yea I'm fine. I was just sleeping."
"Oh okay. Maybe I'm hearing things. Sorry to bother you." She says then walks out the door. You lay down and fall asleep, smiling.

You wake up in the morning and look at your clock.
"Crap!" You say as you jump out of bed. You forgot to set your alarm. You look out the window and see Eddie's car.
"Crap crap crap crap crap!" You run to your closet and throw on a baggy tee and some sweatpants. You throw on your slides, because you don't have enough time to put on your converse. You run to the bathroom and brush your teeth and put your hair in a messy bun with the toothbrush still in your mouth. You spit and throw on some deodorant. You throw your backpack over your shoulder and run downstairs, almost falling. You stand there, out of breath, and see Eddie and your mom sitting at the table, laughing.
"What are you guys laughing at?" You ask.
"Well good morning, sleepyhead! I was just showing Eddie your baby pictures." She says as Eddie is flipping through a couple photos, smiling.
"Mom! I'm naked in like half of those!" You yell at her.
"Those are the funny ones!" Eddie says as he's laughing.
"Ugh, c'mon Eddie let's go." You say as you roll your eyes.
"Thanks again for the coffee, Mrs. Y/l/n." Eddie says as he's getting up.
"Of course! Feel free to come over any day for coffee. You're always welcome." Your moms says with a smile. You grab Eddie's arm and drag him out of the house and shut the door. You get into Eddie's car and refuse to let him help you get in the car.
"Y/n, what's wrong? Did I do something wrong?" He says with concerned eyes.
"You didn't do anything, my mom just can be a real embarrassment sometimes." You say.
"Hey, those pictures were cute. They did nothing but make me like you even more." He grabs your hand and smiles. You smile back and interlock your fingers with his. You guys hold hands for the rest of the ride to school. You finally admit it. You stop avoiding your feelings for Eddie. You like him. You really like him. You finally give in.
