It has been 3 days since you have lived in Hawkins. It is Monday morning, and at 6:30 AM and you hear your alarm clock ringing. Today is your first day at Hawkins High School. You roll out of bed and look and your mirror and take a deep breath before you go downstairs.
"Good morning, y/n." Brittany says as she's stuffing her mouth with cereal.
"Morning." You mumble. You have never been a big fan of mornings. You eat a banana and go back to your room to get ready for school. You pull out a pink skirt with white flowers a white top with a pair of high top converse. You get you out your hair in a half up half down. You take your denim backpack and throw it over your shoulder.
"Y/n let's go! We're gonna be late!" Your mom yells from downstairs.
"I'm coming just give me a minute!" You yell back as your brushing your teeth. You finish brushing your teeth and you run downstairs. Your mom and Brittany are already in the car. You hop in the backseat because Brittany already took the front seat.
"So that's why it took you so long to get ready." Brittany said.
"What do you mean?"
"You're all dressed up. Who are you trying to impress?" She snickers.
"I'm not trying to impress anyone. Who is there to impress anyway? This is Hawkins, Brittany." You roll your eyes.
Chill Im just playing. You look nice."
"Thanks." You said looking out the window. A few minutes later, you arrive at school.

"You girls have a great first day!" Says mom as you walk into the building. You and Brittany head into the main office. The lady at the desk is focused on typing something. You clear your throat to get attention, but she doesn't look up. You and Brittany look at each other then back at her.
"Um, excuse me?" You said nervously.
"Mhm?" The lady says, still not looking up from her computer.
"I am y/n, y/l/n and this is my younger sister Brittany y/l/n. We're here from Billings Montana." You said. She finally stops typing and looks up at you two.
"Well look at that! The famous sisters have finally showed up." You nervously chuckled even though you had no idea what she meant.
"I have your schedules printed out in the back. Let me go get them real quick." She walks away to get the schedules. You and Brittany stand there in silence.
"Here you go. Let's start with you, y/n. What grade are you in?" She says as she's giving you both your schedules.
"I'm a senior." You say.
"A senior. Let's see... who is someone here who has been her a while who could give you a tour... oh!" She pick up her PA.
"Can I have Eddie Munson to the main office please?" She says. Oh no. It's a boy. This is gonna be awkward. You look over at Brittany who is looking at the lady's desk playing with her stick notes. You tap her hand to get her to stop messing with the lady's stuff.
"I student will be here in just a minute to show you around." She says. About a minute later, you hear chains softly clashing together coming closer. A boy walks in. The first thing you notice is his hair. He has long curly brown hair.  He's wearing a bunch rings on both his hands and he's wearing a guitar pick necklace. You look at his shirt. It says "Hellfire Club" on it. You think you yourself, you wonder what that could mean. He's got black ripped jeans with chains hanging from them. He looks at you. You make brief eye contact, but you quickly look away. You still remember his eyes. He's got big, brown eyes. Even though he looks like a troublemaker and a punk, his eyes look pure and innocent.
"What did I do now?" He says. Gosh, he's got a calming voice.
"Surprisingly, nothing this time. I need you to show a student around the school. It's her first day here. Her name is Y/n." You shyly wave at him and he smiles.
"Okay. C'mon, Y/n." You follow him out of the office and walk down the hall.
"Okay so what's your first period?" He asks you. He's looking at you with those eyes again. You have always loved brown eyes. Something about them makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
"Y/n?" He says.
"Oh um, sorry, uh yea I have English first period." You said, avoiding eye contact this time.
"Really? I do too. Come with me." You both walk side by side. His arm keeps accidentally brushing against yours, but you don't mind. He opens the door to a classroom, which is empty at the moment. You two walk it.
"So this is the English room. I don't really have much to say about it cause I sleep through the whole class." He chuckles and looks at you. You smile back.
"I don't blame you. It is early in the morning." You said.
"Yea, so no one's in the high school classes right now cause there's an assembly going on. I think it's about prom or something? I don't know. I always skip assemblies. Now this time I have a reason to skip." You smile at him and he smiles back. You stay smiling at each other for about three seconds, but it feels like forever.
"Anyways, um, can I see your schedule?" He asks. You hand it over to him. He takes a look through it.
"Well, looks like your stuck with me for five periods. Good luck." He says and you look at him.
"You don't talk much, do you?" He says.
"Oh sorry." You say. You start to feel bad for not talking much.
"It's okay." He looks at you and softly smiles at you. He gives you those eyes again. You can't help but stare into them until he looks away.
"Okay second period is chemistry, right?" He says. You nod.
"You're gonna have to actually say 'Yes' or 'no' eventually, you know that right?" He says.
"Sorry, yea I have chemistry next." You said. You both start walking down the hallway.
"Hey, um do you have anyone to sit with at lunch today?" Eddie asks you as you're walking.
"No. I mean I would sit with my sister, but I think she had lunch at a different time than me." You say. Eddie looks down at the ground.
"You know, you could always sit with me... only if you want to though." He says.
"I would love to." You look up at him. He looks at you and softly smiles.
"Sounds good." He says and you both continue walking down the hallway.

A few minutes later, you finish the tour and head to second period.
"You have chemistry second period, right?" You ask Eddie.
"Yeah, I do. Do you want me to walk with you there?" It's almost like he can read your mind.
"Uh yea, just so I don't get lost."
"Okay, follow me." He says, and you both walk side by side. You smile to yourself. Maybe not all the people in Hawkins are too bad after all.
