She has never had a very drama filled life but when she meets her best friends twin brother her peaceful life quickly disappeared. Will she be able to put her feelings aside?
The golden sun rays beam threw the crack in my white silk curtain. Sun blares into my eyes while aluminizing my soft olive skin. The brightness hurts my dark brown eyes. My legs tangle in my cream color bed sheets. My stomach hurts from the morning anxiety as I make my way to the bathroom. I slip on a pair of denim overalls and an emerald green sweater to go underneath. I finish up in the bathroom and slip on my bright green converse and throw my heavy tote bag over my shoulder. A ping comes from my phone.
Josh: Me and tash are out front. Hurry!
Bliss: I'm coming!
I almost fall down the stairs while running as fast as I can. Josh honks the horn, making my dog bark at the door. "Bye mom and dad, see y'all later!" I yell running out the door. Tash and Josh are watching me walk up to the car with big grins on their face. "Good morning sunshine!" Josh practically yells as I buckle my seatbelt. "Morning my loves!" I say with a sarcastic grin. "What took you so long?" Tash says while passing me the blunt she and josh have been passing around. I take a hit as I respond, "Honestly I just didn't want to get up" Tash and josh both playfully hit my shoulder and roll their eyes. "whatever, but do you lady want to watch me and the band's first gig tomorrow night?" Me and tash both gasp and say "OF COURSE!?!" josh flinches at our screams. "Well it's at the lucky pub and we don't go on until 8" josh says while parking in the school parking lot. "We will be there" I say as we all slip out of the van. Josh smiles trying to hide his blush. He doesn't want to show how excited he is for the band's first gig.
I head to home ec. but josh and tash head to their own classes. The lunch bell rings and we all meet up at our lunch table in the cafeteria corner. We three sit in a circle and share a tub of fruit that tash brought. "We will finally meet your brothers tomorrow." Tash tells josh "Oh yeah I guess y'all will" I've known that josh has siblings but I guess I haven't thought to meet them. I mean he does talk about them a lot. "Just watch out for jake he can be kinda cold to new people" I laugh thinking josh is joking. I mean it sounds kinda childish. Josh doesn't laugh and me and tash both look at each other a little confused. "jake is just protective and doesn't like a lot of my friends" josh explains "Oh ok well maybe we can change that" I say trying to make the situation a little less awkward "well y'all can try but I don't know" Me and tash change the subject and try to ignore what just happened.

We all meet up in the van after school and go to my house. My parents won't be home for at least 2 hours. All three of us run upstairs to my room and make ourselves comfortable. "How should we dress for y'all's first gig?" Tash asks rummaging threw my closet. "Um, I don't know I'm just gonna wear jeans and a t-shirt" josh shrugs "Oh my god tash we should make t-shirts with the band name on them!" Tash and I both run to my closest and find plane t-shirts to draw the band name on. Josh just sits there, watches us draw and changes the record every time.
"Maybe there will be cute guys there" tash says while getting and walking to the restroom. We laugh because boys are the only thing on Tash's mind 24/7. "I bet all the girls will love you josh" josh blushes and shrugs "I don't know bliss girls usually go for my brothers" I giggle knowing how awkward josh can be. "I don't know josh girls can't resist a musician" We both laugh and josh shoves me.

It's Friday afternoon and me and tash are getting ready for the band's gig. I slip on one of my favorite outfits and put on the purse josh and tash got me for my birthday.

We walk into the pub after showing the bouncer our fake IDs. It is exactly 8:03 when we walk in and the first thing we see is josh beginning to sing Flower Power. My favorite song. I make eye contact with josh and a huge grin spreads across his face when he sees we showed up. His smile gets somehow even bigger when he sees the white roses I bought him on the way here. Me and tash push our way up to the front and that's when I start to notice his bandmates. I had seen photos of Sam and Danny but never of jake. josh said he hates getting his picture taken, I can relate. I glance over and see a long-haired boy with josh's smile playing the guitar. I lock eyes with jake and I immediately feel my cheeks go red. He has to know who I am. I have been joshes best friend for 2 years.
