Chapter 2

The boys finish up the show with the song when the curtain falls. The crowd loved it and everyone went crazy listening to josh's voice. The boys finish the song and me and tash run to meet them backstage. "OH MY GOD YALL DID AMAZING!?!?" I yell as I jump into josh's arms. Everyone rotates, giving hugs and congratulations. Then I get to jake, and he awkwardly doges my hug as I say "nice to meet you!". He awkwardly grins and says "Oh, hey". Jake's eyes look behind me and I see a blonde girl walk up to jake and aggressively kiss him. Oh, guess that's his girlfriend. Josh walks over to me as I'm frozen by that awkward interaction. "I told you he can be weird. That's his girlfriend summer. We don't really like her but as long as jake's happy." Josh tells me while putting his arm over my shoulder. "Oh well, I'll introduce myself to her. Maybe she will be nicer" josh shrugs and walks away. I walk up to them with confidence. "Hi, I'm bliss it's nice to meet you!" The girl looks at jake a little confused. "Oh, hi... um I'm summer" She weakly smiles "it's nice to finally hear the band altogether. And I was so excited to hear flower power, me and josh worked so hard on it," I say, trying to be friendly. "Flower power? Are you talking about the song jake wrote for me?" Summer says looking confused and angry. Jake's face drops and he looks at me with shock in his eyes. I know me and josh wrote that song but if I want to be on jake's good side I guess I'll let him win this one. "Um oh ya sorry I got the titles mixed up I guess" summer looks at me annoyed but relieved to know he wrote it. "Uh, summer and I are gonna get ready to go," jake says, quickly pulling summer away and not even glancing my way. ~ Me, tash, and the band all pile into the van and head to the Kiszka house. I have only been a few times only when their parents aren't home. But luckily the guys got boos and their parents are on vacation. I notice that jake and summer aren't with us. "Hey guys, where are jake and summer?" I yell over the music, "they went in a separate car because summer doesn't like our van or our music choices," Sam said while laughing at how stupid she sounds. "so summer sucks right? like we all think that?" I giggle. "Yep!" everyone says at the same time. We all laugh as we pull into the driveway.~I have gotten to catch up with Sam and Danny. It's nice getting to finally meet them. There so much funnier and nicer than josh made them seem. Well, everyone is nice except for jake so far. Jake and summer have been all over each other since we got to the house. Everyone almost gags when we hear them kissing. " Jake come on can y'all get a room?" josh yells " shut up josh ur just jealous that I'm getting action and ur still friend zoned" everyone goes quiet and summer laughs. " By who?" sam asks " i- um no one he's uh- kidding" josh stutters out. The room is completely silent, no one knows what to say. Summer and jake go back into their little world again. Sam breaks the silence by saying "Anyone down for a game of blackjack?" Everyone piles into the kitchen to get away from the awkward tension. After a few rounds I, Tash, and josh go to his room to get away from jake and sam fighting over the game. " Hey sorry guys jake can be kind of a dick sometimes" I giggle " it's ok josh we understand if you don't want to talk about it we don't have to" tash nods " Yeah let's just forget please" ~ Eventually jake and summer go to his room and everyone else starts to drink around the fire in the backyard. I pull out a my mints tin with three blunts and everyone cheers as I pass them around. After we spent hours talking around the fire I decide to head inside to go to bed. Josh said me and tash can share his bed since we have been drinking, and he will sleep on the couch. I get dressed for bed in a pair of josh's boxers and one of his t-shirts. I decide to get a glass of water before bed so I make my way to the kitchen. I hear a box drop behind me and I scream not expecting anyone to be inside. "jeez what's your problem" jake says with a smirk" You just scared me I didn't know you were up" I say annoyed " Wow your not has friendly as josh made you out to be. " He says while pouring cereal into a bowl " I could say the same for you. And I'm not the mean one all I have done is try to be friendly. You are the one who tried to ruin josh's night. You're the one who lied to your girlfriend. And your the one who's acting like a dick" I yell not being able to keep my cool anymore. "Woah um ok I see how you feel," he says kinda sarcastically. I push past him and walk to josh's room. I sit in josh's bed not being able to believe how insanely rude he is.The door starts to open and josh walks in. " Hey I saw you running out of the kitchen what happened?" josh asks as he sits down on the end of the bed " Your brother's a douche bag that's what happened" josh sighs " Of course he is. Look I'm sorry he isn't like this when you get to know him please just give him another chance." josh pleaded " Fine but only for you".
