Jake's head snapped up as she entered the room, closing the door behind her and embracing him without a second thought.

"It's okay," she mumbled, sensing that he was holding a lot in. At her coaxing, he relaxed into her and let some tears spill from his eyes. She didn't say anything for a long time, wanting him to simply feel his feelings first before trying to help.

When he pulled away, she wiped his tears gently with an almost maternal touch. "What happened?" she gently asked. Jake sighed, laying down on the bed beside her at her suggestion. He felt himself relax instantly as she ran her fingers through his hair.

"My mic fell out," he explained. "I-I couldn't do anything about it, it was out for almost the whole performance."

Daisy frowned deeply. He had no control over what happened, so they couldn't vote him out because of it. Right? Hadn't he shown a lot of improvement?

A knock on the door interrupted her thoughts. Daniel and Jungwon had also come to check on Jake, joining the two on the bed in a giant pile with Jake in the center.

"Are you okay hyung?"
"I'll be okay."

Daniel and Jungwon made eye contact before grabbing the pillows and beginning to assault the older boy with them, making him laugh and tackle them to the bed. Daisy giggled at their antics, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire and ultimately leaving Jake in the care of the younger boys.

She found her way to Sunghoon and Jay, embracing them both. "Where did you go? We couldn't find you after the performance," Jay questioned. She explained that she went to check on Jake, and they nodded in understanding before letting her know that because of the low average score, seven people would be sent to the Ground.

At that exact moment, the familiar voice of the I-Land host began calling people back to begin voting and look at their individual score.

"The first eliminated I-Lander is...Jake. The second eliminated I-Lander is...Daniel. The third eliminated I-Lander is...Youngbin. The fourth eliminated I-Lander is...Daisy. The fifth eliminated I-Lander is...Jay. The sixth eliminated I-Lander is...Nicholas. The final eliminated I-landed is...Niki."

Daisy's eyes shut tightly. Even though she'd scored decently, she expected as much. She had a feeling many of the I-Landers still held a grudge against her for her making them perform individually.

With a sigh, she stood, making her way to Sunghoon naturally. He embraced her tightly, tears in his eyes. "Fuck," he cursed under his breath. "You have to come back." He paused, making eye contact with Jay who had also approached. "Both of you."

Despite the sad situation, she felt her heart warm. Even if she was technically the center of their relationship, she knew the two had grown very close. It made her happy that she got to be part of the reason for that.

Jay glanced around for a moment, making sure no one was looking at the two before nodding at Sunghoon and shielding them from the cameras. Sunghoon pressed his lips to hers gently, longingly. God, she'd miss them for the next week.

"I love you," she mumbled against his mouth.

"I love you too," he breathed in reply. Daisy finally pulled from his embrace, deciding to let Sunghoon and Jay have their own moment and going to say goodbye to the other trainees she'd grown close to. Sunghoon turned to Jay, pulling him in for a hug as well.

"I don't have to ask if you'll take care of her, because I know you will. But take care of yourself too." Jay nodded silently, not trusting his voice at the moment.

Daisy grabbed Jake's hand, offering a weak smile as Jay grabbed her other. The three walked with the other eliminated trainees down the path that led to the Ground. No words were spoken.

The Grounders were surprised at many of the people who joined them, but just as quickly as seven came down, six went up. Daisy stuck by Jay's side, despite wanting to be strong enough to comfort Niki, Jake, and even Youngbin. She couldn't yet.

A video appeared soon after and explained their second mission. They'd be performing a sort of remix of BTS's "Fire", and the main theme of this mission would be teamwork. After displaying the parts, they were left to distribute them themselves.

"It's not going to be easy," Jay started. "They judge really harshly. Even if there were 10 Heesengs, five people would get eliminated."

Daisy nodded in agreement, rubbing her temples. She was getting a mild headache. Niki noticed and walked over, handing her a water bottle. "Are you alright, Noona?" She looked at him and found herself smiling. He was still young, and therefore immature. But he was truly kind-hearted. Rather than answering, she ruffled his hair, making him whine slightly as she merely laughed.

When parts were divided, she ultimately received part two, shocking her. Niki and Jay had both recommended her, and the trainees seemed to agree it was a good choice. She had some vocal lines and major dance parts with Jay. She knew they'd work well together, and wasn't concerned.

However, all the former I-Landers were exhausted, so it was determined that they'd begin their practice the next day. Making sure to take her meds, Daisy fell into a deep sleep.
