DNA's team was practicing when K told everyone to stop. "Niki, what is that?" he snapped. Daisy looked in their direction innocently—she hadn't even noticed he did anything different or wrong.

"It's a move that V 선배 added sometimes," he quietly explained. K pursed his lips before leaving the room, ordering Niki to follow him.

She eyed Jay and Hanbin with concern, dragging them along to listen in. They spoke in Japanese so she didn't understand much, but she knew the conversation wasn't good.

"He's being too harsh," she mumbled in Jay's ear, gripping his sleeve in her small hands.

Their practice resumed, but everyone could sense the tension in the air even though Niki went back to the original move. "Oppa," Daisy carefully started. "Can we take a break to eat?"

K sighed before nodding. She grabbed Niki's wrist and led him to her room which was empty at the moment. "Please don't scold me more," he muttered, wiping his eyes. She frowned, sitting down on the bed and pulling him into a hug.

"I'm not here to scold you, Niki," she assured, rubbing his back as he cried. "Tell me what happened, baby."

He sniffled, pulling away to sit beside her. "He said I was being selfish and only thinking of myself." Daisy wiped his tears with her thumbs, laying his head on her shoulder.

"I think he was too harsh," she lowly replied. "I don't like the way he spoke to you, even if he's right about it being a bad idea."

Niki shrugged against her, sighing. "Do you think I should take out the ad-lib?" Daisy bit her lip.

"It's hard to say, because sometimes the producers like it when we add our own touch to the choreography. Other times they hate it. Maybe try it to see what they think?" He nodded, pulling her in for another hug.

"Thank you, Noona."

"Niki, what are you doing?" Seunggdeuk scolded at their midpoint evaluation.

"You're doing this different move on your own to stand out? Have you guys talked about this?"

"We did," K quietly spoke up.

The older man sighed. "You either all should do something different or none of you do it. To have just one—it's so bad and selfish."

Daisy stepped forward, her heart pounding. "Sir, please don't blame Niki for this," she started, bowing slightly. "He asked me if he should do it, and I told him to show you to get your opinion. Blame me."

Seunggdeuk pursed his lips before nodding. "It's okay to want an opinion on a move, but you should bring it up before or after the performance rather than just doing it."

"Yes sir, I'm sorry."

After he left, she let out a huge breath, sitting on the floor. "Why would you tell him to do it after I said it was a bad idea?" K scolded annoyedly.

She made eye contact with him from her spot, not backing down. "Because I wanted to know what the actual people judging us would think."

"But now our evaluation is bad. Niki shouldn't have listened to you."

"What, so he should've come to you for advice? After you already yelled at him for trying something one time?" she snapped, brows furrowing as she moved to stand in front of the maknae protectively.

"Noona," Niki trailed, uncomfortable at being the center of their argument. She glanced back at him briefly, her eyes softening.

"I didn't like the way you spoke to him," Daisy said, her tone less harsh now. "Please reflect on that."

K found Niki, Daisy and Hanbin in a room later that day. "Hello," Hanbin happily greeted. "We were just talking about how to resolve our problems."

The older nodded, going towards Niki who was being held by Daisy. She hesitantly let go of him and made space for K.

"I'm sorry I hurt your feelings, Niki. That wasn't my intention," he apologized. The maknae nodded, letting himself be embraced by K.

He turned to Daisy next, placing his hand over hers. "Thank you for speaking your mind with me." She nodded, offering a small smile.

"I don't dislike you, Oppa. Not at all. Just watch your tone, okay?" He nodded, pulling her in for a hug as well.

"You look cute," Sunghoon commented, smiling at his girlfriend's outfit. She thanked him, pecking his cheek and Jake's before going to stand with her team.

"My heart is pounding," Jay admitted, forcing himself to take deeper breaths.

"We got this!" Hanbin cheered, Daisy smiling at his natural peppiness.

"DNA team, please take the stage," the voice boomed. She intertwined her hand with Jay's, squeezing it gently.

"We got this."

Daisy watched from her place between Jay and Niki as the 'I Need U' unit went up. She watched their performance carefully, sighing slightly.

"They haven't experienced heartbreak," she quietly said. "You can tell." Jay nodded in agreement.

"All the fundamentals are there, just not the emotion."
"Yeah. I guess that's a good thing, though. I'd be upset if they could express this song well."

She paused before covering her mouth slightly. "I sound so pompous right now, 'I Need U' team, I'm sorry! You guys really did do a great job."

"Oh? That oppa is doing well with the dance," she said, smiling slightly as Heeseung opened their set.

"Whoa!" Everyone exclaimed as Sunoo came onto the screen. His expression was amazing, as well as his vocals.

Daisy beamed when she saw Sunghoon in the center during the chorus.

"Taki looks so short," she couldn't help but comment as she saw his height compared to his hyungs.

"Wah, they did an amazing job," she admitted, clapping and nodding in approval.

Her team had ranked second, with "Fake Love" taking first place and the remaining team third. They were now being called up individually to discuss their rankings.

"Daisy, this concept is not your usual style, correct?" Seunggdeuk asked. She nodded, pursing her lips nervously.

"You performed very well, but your expressions were quite stiff. Overall, you still did great though." She thanked them, bowing before going back to her place.

Daisy shut her eyes tightly, a tear falling as Geonu was eliminated. When they met him outside of the building, he immediately called her out for crying.

"You can't cry over me, these guys will have my head," he joked, gesturing to the 02 line. She laughed slightly, hugging him tightly.

"I'm gonna miss you. You really are talented."
"I'll see you after you debut, hm?"

She nodded, doing her best to smile for his sake. "Treat me to some food when this is all over, Oppa." He rolled his eyes playfully before saying goodbye to the others.

She sighed, leaning onto Jake for support. "I'm tired of this," she admitted.

"It'll be over soon."
