Book Three: Like a Whelming Flood

In the Year 3014, the fate of the world hung in a precarious balance. The common folk returned to their ordinary lives as best they could, refusing to believe that they were living Halgrim's shadow. That darkness troubled the sleep of those who understood the dire peril that threatened their very existence.

Ancient prophecies promised salvation. Like the runes, they were mysterious and did not tell the whole truth. Even if they could be interpreted accurately, could they be trusted?

The Megira Rhoz was certain that the Azure Dragon was the key to banishing the blight of evil. The time of his return was imminent, but it would not begin until the required conditions were met. She did not know how that could be done, but was determined to persist in the quest until it was accomplished.

After her return to Dys, Rhoz and the Dragonkeeper set out together into the Dragonhold Mountains, accompanied by an elite delegation of soldiers and mages, with only blind faith to guide them.
