Chapter 2

You had all decided to meet up in the morning to start doing the project. Jana had texted the group chat an hour early to make sure to be there. She didn't seem bad, yes she was annoying at first glance but she genuinely seems nice.

Stretching your arms you yawn and get out off the bed. Making some breakfast you start eating while reading on your phone. Seeing a message appear in the group chat you quickly click on it. Jana was there already. Looking at the time it was 9:20 and you had all decided to meet at 10:30. Feeling slightly bad you finish off your food, clean the dishes, pour yourself a glass to drink some vitamins and head to the bathroom.

When you finish up, you walk back to your room and open your wardrobe. You had gotten lucky and had a flat to yourself, not having to share with someone. It was rather chilly so you had decided on a safer option to not get cold.

Putting on your boots by your door, you stand up check if your other door is locked and walk to the front door. Opening and closing it, you lock it and put your keys in your bag.

Still being in the corridor of your complex you start making your way to the other door as you press the button to leave. Still holding the door you slightly smile, "did you forget your entry pass again?" To open this door you needed an entry pass, or to press the buttons from which the neighbours live in so they'd be aware someone is at the door.

"Yeah, I stayed late at my friend's and forgot I didn't even take it with me." He scratched his head embarrassed. Holding the door for him he mutters a quick thank you.

Quickly taking a glance to the time you see its 10:00. There was still enough time so you decided to walk since it wasn't far. Walking you feel the spicy air hit your face a little as you flinch. It was cold, colder then you anticipated but you should be fine.

Having made it to the cafe 15minutes earlier to when was decided you hear the bell above your head as you see someone sit up from a laying position. Seeing Jana wave at you, you wave back as you make your way to her. "How are you?"

"I'm fine for now, how about you?"

You had suspected that the conversation might get awkward but as time went you really enjoyed her company. She was nice to talk to.

Still laughing at what she said, holding your tea in your hands you hear the bell ring again and you glance at the door. There stood Johan and Benjamin, who was slightly behind him. They both notice you two and start heading towards the table. Benjamin sat next to you as Johan sat in front of you. The four of you sat around the square table as you started speaking.

Having decided on who does what. You all make the format of the presentation together. The four of you would share the content among yourself until next week, and then have it all put into the presentation.

Smiling when the format was decided, you stand up and walk to the bathroom. Having finished you see you have a message from Benjamin saying how he had to leave for his club. You replied with how you understand and open the door. Sitting by the table you only see Johan.

"Benjamin had club duties to take care of and Jana had to leave for work." He said as he looked up at you, "I don't need to be anywhere for now, so I stayed because you left your things here."

"I see, thank you for looking after my stuff!" You quickly add as he just smiles at you. Grabbing your bag you put away your notebook and pencil case as you see Johan still staring at you smiling from the corner of your eye. Turning to him as he was still sitting down, you speak up, "I'm going to head out now, see you around?"

"Do you have any plans for today?"

Looking at him when he asked that, you just shake your head.

"Then would you like to go on a walk with me? I'd love to learn more about you." He stood up looking down at you.

Looking up at him you did want to get to know him, he seemed interesting, but also he seemed too perfect. Ignoring that's thought you nod at him, "sure."

The two of you had been walking around for some time, and it was pretty fun. There were some names on the store that you just couldn't help but make a pun about as Johan would chuckle. After you had made the pun he would explain where the name had originated from.

"You know French?"

"Just a little bit, languages are fascinating."

Nodding at that you asked him a few more questions as he would answer. He was impressive.

"Mind if I ask you a question?" He asked you as he looked straight ahead.

"Sure, shoot."

Chuckling at you for saying that, you look at him confused. "I've seen you helping an orphanage."

"I'm a volunteer there."

"May I ask why?"

Looking at him confused for a second you think. "Well at first I heard they needed volunteers, and when I joined they turned out to be really nice. I'd read them books or help them eat, at first I did it because I felt bad you could say, but now I enjoy helping them out."

You didn't see his expression but his eyes had slightly widened as he looked at you.

"They are like any other kid, even if they have it harder then others they can still laugh and smile." You smiled proudly at the memory of how happy they seemed after you walked in through the door. "Why, do you want to join?" You glance at him.

Having you make eye contact with him he quickly smiles with his usual smile, "yes, I just wasn't sure how to sign-up."

Laughing, "you are too smart to not know that Johan, you sure you just aren't scared of going there alone?" You tap his shoulder playfully as he laughed back.

"I'm certain that's not the case." The both of you laugh.
