It didn't take me too long to pack for the Stupidly-dangerous-yet-could-save-the-whole-world quest. All I decided to take with me was the spare changes of clothes and toiletries that I had originally brought with me when I first got to camp. I (obviously) left my first spoil of war - the Minotaur Horn - at my cabin. What? You thought that it was stolen by one of Hermes' kids? Nah, as it turns out, while they were masters at the art of thievery, they had a code of honor they all followed in regards to what was okay to steal and who they could steal from - and more often than not if you confronted them about a theft they'd simply give you your stolen item back so long as you weren't a total bitch about it.

Anyways, the camp store gave and my fellow questers one hundred dollars in mortal cash plus twenty golden drachmas per person - according to Luke this was the standard for everyone who left on a quest to ensure you had the means to make your way to whatever location you had to get to or to call the camp for help should you need it.

I had been surprised by the fact that the drachmas were gold considering I was under the impression that they were supposed to be silver, but Ethan explained to me that the gods never use anything but solid gold for their currency per the order of His Supreme Royal Majesty. When I learned this I couldn't resist wondering aloud (making sure that Chiron could hear me clearly) how they continually got the gold to make the drachmas considering all precious gems and metals - such as gold - found under the ground all fell under my Lord Uncle Hades' domain and not Zeus'. How did Chiron react to this question? Well the immortal trainer of heroes just awkwardly coughed and not-so-subtly changed the topic.

Anyways, Chiron gave Ethan a Ziploc bag full of ambrosia squares and a canteen filled with nectar for any emergency healing while we were on our quest. He also warned me not to overdose on those things, or else it would cause that person to literally combust. So we had to be responsible with when we used it and how much we used. Ethan took one long, meaningful look at Luke and nodded once before promptly stashing the healing items in his own pack without a word. Luke just pouted at his friend playfully like he was hurt by Ethan's lack of trust in his decision-making skills.

"I swear, Luke, you're channeling too much Travis and Connor right now for my liking." I teased him playfully. Luke, in response, just smirked in my direction before teasingly asking, "From whom do you think they learned all of those things, Mademoiselle?"

In addition to his changes of clothes and snacks Ethan was also bringing with him his dual Xiphos-styled swords which transformed into a matching set of bronze-looking rings which rested on his middle fingers (one per finger) when not in use. Ethan saw my wondering gaze and smiled at me before explaining that they'd been a gift from an adult demigod, a son of Ares, who'd trained him and looked after him as a child before a satyr came to bring him to camp after the man's death.

Grover, in order to pass as a regular human, wore both his fake feet with a pair of loose pants to disguise his goat legs and cloven feet. He wore his favorite green rasta-style cap because when it rained his curly hair flattened to his skull and then you could just make out the tips of his curled horns. His bright orange backpack was full of various pieces of scrap metal and apples for him to snack on. In his pocket was a set of reed pipes his father had carved for him for his birthday, even though he bashfully admitted that he wasn't very good with them yet.
