I closed the door after myself and turned to Raine, but did not dare to look them in the eyes
They hugged me gently and we sat down in the nest, I immediately cuddled up to their neck.

The familiar scent of the cologne they used made me feel nostalgic.
I have always appreciated their patience with them, they did not press, they only waited, caressing my hair
After a while, I decided to say something
"I miss them ... it's all slowly overwhelming me."
I took a deep breath

"I don't know where King is or if the kids are safe .. I would just do anything for them, Raine .."
"Like..like I would do anything for you"
I added silently

"Eda..I know it's very hard for you, I'm worried too"
They tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear
"But you should know that I'm here for you now ,we all are and i belive everything is going to be okay soon.
We can't give up right now ,Calamity"

I suddenly felt heat on my cheeks and something wet on my eyes.
I just cuddled deeper and hid my face in their chest

I kissed her head and let her cuddle on, I moved her closer and started stroking her back like she always liked
It always calmed her down
I ran my fingernails gently down the back of her neck
I was glad that she opened up to me tho
I was so so worried about her
It was obvious that something is wrong

After a while I heard her say
"What did I ever do to deserve you Rainstorm?"
She sniffed silently and I wiped her tears
I looked her in the eyes and smiled softly
Still holding her hand in mine
"Well..you would have two arms that's for sure"
Eda snorted and then started laughing after a second I joined her

It's so good to hear her pretty laugh again
I missed her so much ,she is still Eda after all
The same Eda I fell in love with and haven't stopped for years
Oh hah it's getting a little sappy but still
I'm glad to have her back again

"You literally saved my life ,I don't care about the arm"
She said suddenly
"At least I'm still alive"
I felt her smiling in my neck.
My heart skipped a beat I just pulled her closer.

"I'm so glad"
