"So Laura how have you been." Alayna said as both families sat at the dinner table enjoying their meal.
"I have been doing good actually, got bumped up to County DA." Laura said taking a sip of her red wine.
"County DA, huh?" Benjamin said from where he was seated.
"Believe me, I was surprised when she told me as well." Billy said making everyone give a little chuckle.
"How's the new kid, Billy?" Benjamin asked making both everyone slightly roll their eyes.
"Spencer, uh, he's uh, good actually. I think we may have a shot at playoffs." Billy said trying to avoid Jordan's eyes.
"Right because he's the only one on the squad with great potential." Jordan said with such sarcasm that Joel even understood.
"Boys, let's not talk about football at the dinner table." Alayna said getting the tension between the Baker men start to rise.

"I could help with that." Jordan said making his way to the young girl that was washing the dishes.
"You could just go join the others." Sophia said not turning to look back at him.
"Or I could stay here and help dry the dishes at least." Jordan said grabbing the dry cloth.
It was silence as they co-worked on the dishes. Although Sophia enjoyed the silence, because at least she had his presence without any girl being under his arm.
"Hey, I'm sorry I never stopped by when you was away." Jordan said breaking the silence.
Sophia shook her head and handed Jordan the last wet plate. "Please, we was perfect with the silence."
"No Sophia, I feel like we should talk about whatever happened." Jordan said finishing drying the last plate.
