As hoped, Beverly High was currently celebrating the win against Malibu. All of the cheerleaders were currently on the field celebrating the win with the players. Jordan turned to look for the young Castro girl, yes he saw her, but she wasn't celebrating.
Sophia didn't go onto the field instead she quickly grabbed her stuff and made her way towards her car. She quickly stuffed her things in the back and got into her vehicle. In the matter of minutes Sophia arrived at the hospital and made her way towards the registration desk.
"Hey, I'm looking for Joel Castro." She told the nurse that nodded and typed his name into her computer.
"Your relation to the patient?" The nurse asked.
"I'm his sister." Sophia said, tapping her fingers onto the desk in front of her in a consistent manner.
"Follow me." The nurse said getting up from her seat to walk Sophia towards the room. "This one right here." The nurse said after a small walk.
"Thank you." Sophia said, giving the nurse a small smile. Sophia opened the door and walked into the room slowly.
"Hermano." Sophia said, catching a glimpse over at her brother.
"Sophia." Joel said, trying to sit up yet being stopped by the pain radiating through his leg.
"No, don't force yourself." Sophia said, making her way into the room to sit on the edge.
"Mom just walked out. She said she'd be back." Joel said, getting a small nod from the young Castro girl.
"So what did the doctor's say?" Sophia asked, looking at her brother who simply shut his eyes for a second.
"My right knee is fractured, and I have a small sprain on my right ankle." Joel said, opening his eyes that were starting to get watery.
"Hey but you're okay." Sophia said, bringing his hand into hers.
"I can't finish playing this season." Joel looked away towards the window as he released a small tear.
"They won tonight, for you." Sophia said, bringing her brother's attention back to her. "Look I know that you're hurt because you cannot end your senior season but at least you're okay." Sophia said, gripping onto her brother's hand. "I was scared seeing you on the ground motionless. We're lucky you didn't have any nerve damage." She said getting her brother to send her a nod.
Sophia in a small glance at the door saw what seemed to be her father walking past the young boys hospital room.
"I'll be right back." Sophia said, sending her brother a small smile before getting up to walk out of the room.
