Avneet's pov
I go to the office in morning in daze because I am sleepy as fuck. I have been talking to my friends all night.

I take a coffee from the nearby cafe. I see riyaz and he wishes me good morning and I wish him back which sounds like WoOd mOrniNooo.
I ask him why are all these people gathered in the hallway so early. He tells me that today is the birthday of this company and we are celebrating foundation day. Okay.

I slap my cheek and walk toward the centre of hall where the decoration is being done.

I am rubbing my eyes and walking when I bump into someone. Ofcourse it will be the Monster I read that I was going to have a bad day in the daily horoscope.

I opened my eyes and Oh it's not him I knew this horoscope thing is fake. I say sorry to gulfam ma'am and smile brightly.

Until I see him coming towards us. I take a sharp breath and pretend I didn't see him. Come on avneet just quickly run from here. I was turning to leave when the devil called,"Miss Kaur you don't come here to sleep if you didn't know."

I smile as fakely as I could muster and turn around. "Good morning sir" I say. "I will take care from next time." I again  turn to leave when He raises his eyebrows and says," You forgot to apologize?"
"For?"
"For not being alert in office hours."
"But I just came....... and I look around and there are almost 5 people looking at us right now. Let's get over with it. No more drama.

"I am sorry sir." And as I say it the whole hallway is blasted with voice. Is there a mic nearby. I look at the Monster and he is smirking arrogantly. He says,"No need to apologize Miss kaur. Its alright."

And again the voice can be heard by everyone in the hallway. I will kill this man. Whole office heard me. I take a deep breath and sprint towards my cabin.

Later that day,
I was working overtime today because the last employee didn't complete his work and tomorrow is the meeting. How fucking great! I finished my work at 11 o'clock.

I enter the lift and boom monster is here.  I will pretend as if he is not here. I walk through the door and stand as such that my back is facing his front. He presses the button.

I think I should buy a car with my first salary. I have always wanted to have my own car. Dad offered to buy me a car but I refused because I wanted to buy car from my own money. But damn me! I have to be so self dependent. It's even written my horoscope. Did I tell you that I started believing I horoscopes? They tell the truth. Then a hear someone clearing their throat.

I see the Monster outside the lift and Oh wait we have reached the  ground floor. Holy shut I dozed off. Why am I so stupid? I should start eating more nuts. Mom always tells me to do so. And then I hear another sound.
"Miss kaur"
"Miss kaur"
My eyes widen. I dozed off again. I see Mr.Nigam is pointing toward the exit with his face. I run to the exit. God this is so embarrassing. He calls me again.
"MISS KAUR"
I turn and say "sir."
"How are you going to go home?"
"I have booked an Uber sir?"
" I think it won't be safe, company's driver will drop you off."
"No need sir. I will be okay."
He sighs and says,"You don't need to be  polite, we need our employees to be safe."
"Thank you sir."
He calls the driver and the driver comes and we leave for my home.
I ask the driver if he does this often you know driving off employees.

And he said yes he does that very often. He says that whenever any female employee work late hours. The Monster send him to drop them and personally enquires if they reach their destination safely.

On the ride back I think about the thought that the Monster has put  in this little thing. Being a multimillionaire, having a staff of over thousand people and still caring about their employees safety. Maybe the Monster can be a little thoughtful.
