Kai stared furiously at Valgurous. Valgurous was the one who took Jay away from him, the one who made Jay choose. Kai was questioning why he wasn't dressed as he was before. The suit he was wearing didn't match the vibe of the temple. Normally, Kai would make a snarky remark on that, but he was way to emotional and angry to do so.

"So Kai-" Valgurous began, but Kai cut him off.

"Why did you do it." Kai's tone was low at first, and he could feel the tears building up again. "Why did you kill him!? Why out of everyone him!?" Kai screamed, but he didn't run to fight Valgurous. He just stared at him with a angered expression.

Valgurous smiled, and stared at Kai like he was some trophy to be admired.

"Don't believe everything you see." Valgurous mused.

He turned his chair to face the computer, and pressed the button under the frame to turn it on. Kai could hear typing noises, and then a light came on from the computer.

"Don't be afraid, approach." Valgurous did not turn from his computer.

Cautiously, Kai walked over to stand next to Valgurous.

On the monitor was a image of Jay in a net. His costume was torn and covered in blood. Jay's nose was twisted in a odd direction, it was presumably broken. His legs were also bent in weird positions. He was hanging over a green pool of bubbly liquid. Small ropes were attached and hung over the camera's capacity to record. Jay was being lowered into the pool, and Kai was almost scared for him.

"What are you doing to him!?" Kai shouted angrily.

Valgurous shushed him, almost loosing his mastered patience.

Jay was fully submerged in the pit. There was a long and painful silence. Then, a hand reached out of the green liquid.

Then monitor turned off abruptly, cutting off Kai's sense of hope.

"Hey!" Kai looked at Valgurous in the eyes.

"You will work for me." Valgurous squinted.

"And if I don't?" Kai taunted at the question. Although he knew the answer, he wanted to see the way Valgurous would answer.

"Jay, and all your friends will die. If you join me, Jay will live and all your friends will be able to escape with no problems." Valgurous folded his hands on top of each other and twirled his thumbs.

"Alright." Kai furrowed his eyebrows. "But if anyone gets hurt, I'm out."

"I completely understand." Valgurous lifted both his arms in a peaceful motion. "No harm should come to anyone. But should you tell anyone, consiquences will come forth immediately."

Kai nodded. He regretted his decision, but it was for the best of his friends.

The door turned, and the ninja in the black suit returned and grabbed Kai's arms more gently this time. Kai didn't fight the touch of the mysterious ninja. The wall slid open once again, and Kai and the anonymous ninja walked out together.

The walk was long and weary. There was one long hall, like the beginning of the temple. Torches lighted the hallway to create a light and comforting glow. Finally, they arrived at the cell. Kai could feel the depressive thoughts looming over him as soon as he got close.

The ninja unlocked the cell, and Kai was thrown back in, catching himself with his hands. The ninja in black then locked the cell behind them and left. Kai got up and held the bars.

"Don't you ever think of coming back!.." Kai let his voice trail off and tears filled his eyes. "..never come back."

Kai gave the impression that his knees were to weak to support him anymore, and he fell on the floor, hands still gripping the bars.

Cole rushed over and wrapped his arms around Kai. Kai didn't hug him back, but held Cole's arm with his hands

Lloyd was still stuck in the corner, and guilt picked his sides. Kai was being selfish right? So why did he feel as though some of his break down was his own fault.

Lloyd shook it off, they needed to move on.

"Kai." Lloyd began.

Kai turned his head.

"We found a way to escape."
