The four ninja jumped down in unison. The one in the middle pointed at the two ninja at their right, then signaled towards Cole and Nya.

Cole pulled up his mask and took out the hammer behind his back instinctively, Nya pulling up her mask and her small trident in pursuit.

One ninja immediately began striking at Cole with nothing but their fists, punching and striking at Cole whenever they had the chance. This ninja was quick, but rage blinded them.

Cole had difficulty keeping up, having to play defence for the most part. Cole hated defence. So, once he saw an opening he took it.

Cole striked straight at his rageful openants stomach, sending them flying back. The ninja simply landed on the other side of the room, as if the pain didn't affect them

Cole didn't like the eerie quiet that filled the room as his opponent landed. He wasn't the best at lightening the mood, that was Jay's job. But, he had to fill the silence with something.

"What is your mouth sewn shut or something? Say anything, or better yet tell me that I've won." Cole laughed a bit in spite of himself.

Then, he looked into the blue eyes of his opponent. Were they smiling?

No time to think about it though, the ninja came back at full force.

He heard a rustling of glass, and darted his eyes ever so quickly towards the glass confinement of the crystal.

There were the other two ninja, taking off the glass seal of the precious gem.

"Nya!" Cole shouted, blocking a few more ruthless blows from the ninja. "The gem!"

"On it!" Nya replied, flipping over her own opponent and over to the two others she had yet to face.

Cole slid himself over to Nya's old foe, Cole's own following in pursuit.

Cole socketed his new enemy in the gut, catching them off guard. His old foe came punching at his face from behind him, but Cole caught their hand.

"Don't think I was done dancing with you yet." Cole remarked, something Jay used to say.

There it was again, the ninja smiled.

The other ninja behind him grabbed his hammer from out of Cole's hand. Cole then kicked the blue eyed ninja infront of him, sending them launching into a wall.

Cole faced his new opponent once more, he contemplated using his earth punch. He shook the thought off, this whole era would collapse.

Using his fists? No problem.

He put his fists up and faced the brown eyes of his enemy. This one seemed far less confident than the other Cole had faced, this one seemed afraid?

The brown eyed ninja let his brows furrow, then threw the hammer to the side. Cole trailed the weapon with his eyes, and his blue eyed opponent caught it.

His old foe came darting at him immediately with the hammer, the heavy weapon slowing their movements down.

The brown eyed ninja sweeped Cole off his feet from behind him, and his blue eyed companion hit him in the head with the hammer.

Cole's world blinded with white, and a loud buzzing noise rang in his ears. A cold surface hit his back, and Cole held his head.

The world seemed to finally come into view, and the brown eyed ninja was looming over Cole now. What were they doing?

Then, their gaze fired itself onto the blue eyed ninja, who Cole now noticed had a piece of white hair falling out of their hood.

The two left Cole to stand alone, and Cole just laid there in pain for a few moments. Then he remembered Nya.

Cole sat up, painfully groaning.

Someone had begun carrying him bridal style. Cole turned his gaze to find Nya holding him, and he smiled.

"Thank-" Cole was cut off.

"Shh, save your breath." Nya corrected.

There was a creaking noise coming from the window again, and the ninja were nowhere to be found.

Nya darted out of the room and into the hallway running.

"Borg! I know you can hear me!" Nya called, running past paintings.

"Yes Nya?" A booming voice echoed throughout the hall.

Cole groaned in pain at the sudden volume.

"Call the police, alert them that a small gem in the 'Crystals Magnificence and Magic' section was stolen." Nya called back.

After almost making it to the exit doors, Nya asked one last thing of Borg.

"The cameras in the room were down, but were you able to capture some of the fight from the outside?" Nya asked.

"Of course." Borg replied.

Nya had her answer, and darted out of the museum.

It was dark, a few street lights still illuminated the streets, Cole could still see their bikes parked on the side of the road. Not like Cole could see much else though, his vision was giving out on him.

Nya nudged her shoulder to her ear, turning on her earpiece.

"Pixal are you nearby?" Nya asked.

Cole blinked a few times, he very much wanted to close his eyes right now.

"Cole! Stay awake, please!" Nya ordered in a rough tone of voice.

Cole hummed in acknowledgment, struggling to keep his heavy eyelids open. It was very blurry, and his head was screaming at him to sleep. To close his eyes and end the pain coming from his head.

The pain was too much, and Cole was struggling to hold on. Before he knew it, he found his eyes closed.
