Pixal sat in the newly added medbay, watching over Cole as he was bed bound, for now.
The rhythms of the heart monitor kept her alert, not sucked down by her thoughts while she glanced over at the health statistics one more time.
Cole was minorly concussed, luckily. He was hardheaded, figuratively and literally.
"How long am I going to have to lay here?" Cole groaned, and Pixal almost forgotten he'd been awake this whole time. "I've gotta get out there and help."
"For a few days." Pixal concluded.
Cole groaned with exaggeration, pulling a hand up to his bandaged head.
Healing wouldn't be the hard part, keeping Cole bed bound will.
"Pix." Nya called in the entrance way. "We're reviewing the tape from the mission."
"I'll be right out."
Nya nodded, and left.
Was everyone there? What did Nya mean by 'we'? Had Zane finally made his way out of his room? Would she still have to make frequent check ups on him to make sure he hadn't fell through due to his own grief?
"Can I go?" Cole broke Pixal's train of thought.
"No." She rolled her eyes.
She began walking out the medbay, waving Cole off.
She walked down the eerie hallway.
The quiet was not something she was used to. There was always laughter, talking, or even fighting. Frankly, she had always made comments about how it had always been too loud before. About how annoying all the noise was.But as aggravating as the noise always was, she wished for it now.
Funny, you don't know how good you have it until it's gone.
She stopped her frantic walking.
Pixal turned her head to face the solid oak door that was to her right.
And, funny enough, it was closed.
Zane's door was never closed.
She shook her head, trying to remove the thought from her head before making her way into the gaming room of the monastery.
She took out ninja stars from out of her belt lazily once she was inside.
Two game controllers sat on the red couch in front of the tv that was now probably in the process of collecting dust.
One red controller, and one blue controller sat side by side.
She tried not to think of that too much.
She threw the throwing stars on the dart board, and it turned to the side. Then, an elevator shaft opened up and practically invited her inside.
She stepped in, waiting in silence until the elevator made a quick 'ding' sort of noise that signaled that she had reached the 'secret base'.
The doors separated themselves slowly, and Pixal walked out to find the array of vehicles and mechs displayed on the sides.
She walked forward to the large computer, sparing no time to look at the vehicles.
Once she was there, she found Wu and Nya huddled together.
Wu and Nya turned to find Pixal, and separated themselves.
"Pix, glad you made it." Lloyd was in the middle, dark circles looming under his eyes.
"Lloyd." Pixal had to stop herself from gasping. "Glad to have you here, too."
