"Okay children please open your textbooks and a note book or a sheet of paper. I will come around with markers" Ms. Lee said.
And then, Kai and Bong entered the classroom.
"Oh Kai, Bong. What happened? Are you okay? Why are you late? Is everything alright?" Ms. Lee asked them, a worried look visible on her face. Ms. Lee is your average nice teacher. She has known Kia and Bong since they were little kids because she was their neighbor. She always has this motherly aura around her that can sooth the most worried person.
"Nothing Ms. Lee just some random student in the hallways blocked our way and Kai and him had a friendly talk with each other" Bong said, smiling at the worried teacher.
Hearing his words, Ms. Lee's expression calmed down and she released a breath. "I hope everything is okay. Please take your seats now. Do tell me is something is wrong okay?" she said, placing a hand on Bong's shoulder.
"We sure will Ms. Lee" Bong gave her his signature toothy grin. Ms. Lee smiled at them and moved out of their way.
"Okay students please take out your textbooks now! Anyone who gets a red marker pairs up with a blue marker person and anyone with a yellow marker pairs up with a green marker person. We are starting a new math project that you have to complete in pairs of two and this will be due 2 weeks from now. The topic can be anything that we learned this quarter. The presentation can be a video, a slideshow, or anything you like. That will be Friday. So good luck on this! It is a major grade! Think outside the box!" Ms. Lee said, gaining sudden enthusiasm in her voice as she spoke.
Ms. Lee came around and gave markers to all the students and everyone went on searching for people that they would pair up with. "Which color did you get?" Bong asked Kai as he ran up to his seat.
"Blue" Kai said, looking at the blue Sharpie in his hands.
"I got red" Bong literally shoved the Sharpie in Kai's face, "Wanna team up?" he asked.
Having no other choice, Kai nodded.
Bong pulled a chair from a random student's desk and sat on it so that he was facing Kai.
"I am thinking that we should make a presentation on probability. What do you think about it?" Bong asked, pulling out a pink notebook from his backpack.
"I think we should do the project on trigonometry" Kai said, opening a black notebook.
"Why do you always have to make things hard?" Bong asked Kai, pouting, not liking the idea of doing trigonometry in the middle of November. He did math only because his parents wanted him to. He was interested in art but his parents thought that only girls were meant to do that.
"I think we would have a lot to talk about if we choose trigonometry"
"Fine whatever you say" Bong sighed, sulking in his seat.
Bong looked like a puppy who was sad because his human won't play fetch with him. The blue-eyed looked at Bong and just chuckled.
"Okay class you can pack up. The bell is about to ring in two minutes" Ms. Lee said "Please work diligently on this project and please e-mail me with any questions."
The bell rang and just like that there was a crowd in the hallways. All the students were running like pigs to the cafeteria. Bong was squished to the people like salmon in sushi (I think they have salmon in sushi. sorry if I am wrong). Nobody dared touch Kai though. His face and body scared the people from miles away.
Kai and Bong entered the HUGE cafeteria where they found Pranpriya already waiting for them. "How do you manage to get here without getting hit by people's elbows?" Bong asked Pranpriya, sitting on his seat with a sigh. "You just need to beat some sense into people that they should not touch you in the hallways. You can start by talking or use the other method" Pranpriya said, sipping her orange juice. "What is the other method?" Bong curiously asked. "Simple, you beat them" the pink haired said as if beating up people was a common thing.
"You should not use any form of martial arts to hurt people that have nothing to do with you" Kai interrupted the conversation. "Whatever" Pranpriya just ended the conversation. Not wanting a lecture of when and where to use martial arts by Kai. "What do you guys have for lunch?" Bong asked enthusiastically, taking out the bento he made for himself.
Bong opened his mouth to speak but was cut off by a girl.
"KAI BABY SIT WITH MEE!! Why are you sitting with these losers?" a girl screamed, so loud that the whole cafeteria was looking at them. Bong DID NOT like the sudden attention they were given. Social anxiety is a bitch.
"No thank you A-Yeong I am happy sitting with my friends" Kai said, not sparing her one glance.
A-Yeong, spoiled by her parents because they own a business. Wearing a pink tank top a skirt that barely covered her, she was your typical popular girl. Hanging out with the wrong people, vaping, clubs and anything that comes to your mind. Blonde hair, blue eyes, breasts that looked like she got multiple plastic surgeries and a bitchy attitude. Her face caked with makeup and her lips having too much lipstick. She was a walking glitter box.
"Was it just me or someone heard a dog bark?" Pranpriya said, taking a bite from her fries.
"What did you say? Do you even know who my dad is? You should behave. He can bring you on the streets with a snap of the finger. I guess you don't know because your dad left you didn't he?" she said, smirking.
Kai and Bong looked at A-Yeong with an I-hope-you-rest-in-peace-in-hell-because-she-will-kill-you face.
"Well look who is talking. You only want to get into people's pants and you are teaching me how to behave. Well well watch and learn what I can do in the snap of a finger" Pranpriya said, having the perfect villainess look on her face.
And just like that, the crowd started cheering and hooting. The 5'9" boy very uncomfortable with the surroundings. Kai looked at him and his eyes softened. Bong had his eyes shut and both his hands were covering his ears. He was shivering too. Kai, being the gentleman he is, took out his headphones from his bag and simply put it over Bong's ears without uttering a single word. When he did that, he turned back to the two girls in the middle of the cafeteria.
"What happened? Are you scared Ms. No dad?" A-Yeong asked, the smirk not leaving her face. "Come at me!"
And that is how A-Yeong ended up on the cafeteria floor with ketchup and water all over her. "Now you will think twice before messing with me BITCH! You don't do that to my friend and get away with it!" Pranpriya spat the the sobbing girl.
A-Yeong was lying on the floor, crying. Ketchup ruined her dress and she was soaked from head to toe. Her make up washed away and nobody wanted to be near her now. Her group of friends left her when they knew that they could not beat the queen called Pranpriya.
When she returned to her seat, Bong smiled at her and went on rambling about how cool she looked and how the girl's scream was audible even when he was wearing headphones.
Pranpriya looked over to Kai who gave her a proud look and silent claps.
He mouthed a 'good job' to her, feeling very proud of what she did.
He really did love his friends.
1271 words??!!!!!
That is probably the longest chapter I have written. I apologize for the late update. I just wasn't feeling myself.
I think that I would upload 1 chapter every week so that I don't overwork myself.
I hope you understand.
Have an amazing day/night
I love you!
