Paradise

Your eyes slowly opened , sorta blinded by the morning sun. The morning birds were chirping outside your tent. You rolled over to meet with Josh's face. Of course he was still out snoring almost. You snuggled up next to him trying to go back to sleep. That woke him.

"Hey? Are you awake?" Josh whispered softly.

"Sorta," you said.

He gently laughed while wrapping his arms around your waist. You two keep falling in and out of sleep before finally getting out of the tent, and going inside. We were the only ones awake so he put on an old record so he could make breakfast. Soon breakfast turned into a dance floor. Just the two of you with no cares in the world. Dancing until.

" JOSH THERE'S SMOKE!" You screamed out.

"HUH!" Josh yelled deaf by the music.

" THE FOOD JOSH THE FOOD IS FUCKING BURNING" you yelled once again.

"OH SHIT OH NO OH GOD NO NO NO". Josh screamed.

You looked around frantically for something to put it out. When here comes Danny with a fucking fire extinguisher and sams right behind him with a bucket of water. How they got there so fast you have nooooo idea, but you're thankful they did. After that scare Josh and you decided to go eat instead.

"You wanna race to the car?" Josh asked, smirking. You didn't answer, just starting running he ran after you. You won but let's be honest he totally let you. That's the sweetheart he was. He handed you his phone to play music ,which was kinda surprising. After flipping through songs for a bit you settled on a Beatles song. It was one of your favorites and apparently his too. "I love this song. How did you know?" He laughed. "My dad used to play it for me before him and my mom" you stopped not wanting to worry him. "Continue," he said as he looked at you. " No, it's fine, don't worry about it" you pleaded. "Well it obviously bothers you, so let's talk about it. You can tell me anything sweets". Sweets. It replayed over and over in your mind before smiling like a dork. You ended up telling him what state your home was in and he was concerned, but kept telling you you're always welcome at his house. "It doesn't really bother me like it did when I was younger. I mean after all you guys are my family now." Josh had the biggest smile and put his hand on your inner thigh.

After breakfast he took you hiking. He said it was a place he heard about and thought it might be pretty. And oh boy it was. It was breathtaking. After hiking for about two hours the two of you wound up on a cliff, you both have no idea how you got there. Josh's eyes lit up as he dropped his bag and ran to the edge of the cliff. "Water. Come quick, there's water" Josh said, absolutely shocked. You ran over as fast as you could. There was a beautiful pond. Like take your breath away beautiful. Kinda like how you felt when you first laid eyes on him. "Mmh I wonder how deep it is," Josh said, lost in thought. "Oh no no no Josh don't even think about it". Before you could get those words out he was already taking off his shirt. Then his shorts. Until eventually he was standing before you in just a pair of boxers. "He's more beautiful than this goddamn place" you mumbled. "You coming mama?" He said before jumping off the ledge. You ran over as fast you could. "What if the waters are shallow" "he better come back up damn it". Your worries were soon pushed aside as you saw that curly headed boy pop back up laughing his ass off. "You gotta try this babe" josh yelled. Once you saw he was okay, you then joined him. Taking off most of your clothes revealing your bare skin. As you jumped it's like the whole world stopped, and absolutely nothing at all matters. You were free.

"Oh my. You're beautiful. Everything about you is just- perfect" josh said, just barely getting the words out. You were shocked by this. No one has EVER said everything like that to you. You swam over to him and kissed him. That's the only thing you could do. You couldn't find words to say back to such a sweet angel. So you kissed him and kissed him again. You didn't want to let him go. He didn't either and you stayed like that for hours. Until you notice the sun starting to set. You two went back to get your clothes, and hit the road again one last time for the day.
