The Vision

Lloyd sat with Sensi Wu in a candle lit room. Both were sitting yoga style, meditating. At long last, Ninjago seemed to be a safe place, eradicated from every threat.

Or so it seemed.

Lloyd wanted to relax like his brothers, but just knew something was going to happen. It was like an itch crawling up his spine. It made him anxious as the year slowly slipped by.

Wu was quite the same, except more chill, wanting to enjoy as much free time as possible.

The other ninja were fooling around outside the monastery, waiting for the mail to arrive. Garmadon and Misako had gone away to renew their vows, now that Garmadon was human again, and good.

Lloyd tried his hardest to focus on the quiet, and he found himself slipping away from his consciousness, found himself floating in darkness. Suddenly, he found himself engulfed in what felt like a foreign memory--

Fire, flames and pain.

The smell of burning hair and burnt skin filled the air.

He was trapped under a log of some sort, black smoke burned his eyes, nose, and scorched his throat.

"Where is it!?" A voice demanded.

The sight was hazy, and blacked around the edges, as if Lloyd himself was burning.

He felt something gripping his chin painfully.

He wanted to lash out, fight and dislodge himself from the person's hand, but he couldn't move.

"Where is the stone?"

"I won't... tell... you,"" He felt himself say, his voice dry and sore, but it wasn't his voice that came out. It wasn't as deep as his—it was a girl's, and it was harsh from the smoke and fire.

His vision flicked and for a moment he glimpsed  a hunched over girl through the eyes of someone else.

Long black-brown hair, white skin blackened and burned, arms twisted behind her back.

He just as quickly became the figure with his/her arms pulled back so far Lloyd was sure they would pop out of their sockets.

"Fine, then burn."

There was someone else there, their hands blazing with fire, burning the place down, and the whole world seemed to cave in on him--

Blinding pain--

Lloyd jerked awake.

He looked around, grimacing. His skin was tingling in memory of the fire. He lifted his hand up to his chest to find his heart pounding a million miles an hour. He needed to tell Sensei this. Lloyd leaned forward to his master who was peacefully meditating.

"Sensei."

No reply. After a moment of quiet, Lloyd thought Wu had gone into deep meditation, and could not hear or sense him. Lloyd poked his Sensei, and the old man emitted a snore.

"Sensei!"

"Snork-- huh? Who-wha?" The old man blinked his eyes, his reaction slow.

"Sensei, you fell asleep-"

"Oh, is the monastery burning down again?"

"No--"

"Is someone hurt or badly bleeding?"

"No--"

"Dead?"

"No, Sen-"

"Is there a new enemy?"
