Dead Love

Chapter 2: Trip

Steve was currently getting ready for school, standing in just his boxers in the bathroom after his morning shower, He kept brushing and styling his hair that was slowly growing, his hair slightly hanging around the nape of his neck.

He quietly put his brush down along with the can of hairspray setting it down next to his other hair products, Steve gently touched his hair once again making sure that he liked how it looks before tiredly finishing up his routine by brushing his teeth, putting lotion on his face and body, along with applying deodorant.

Steve walked out of the bathroom quickly heading towards his bedroom, opening his closet and searching threw his clothes for an outfit, he eventually decides on what to wear pulling out a pair of blue jeans with a loose grey shirt, Steve quickly slides on his clothes making quick work with his hands to tuck in his shirt into the waistband of his jeans, reacher for a black belt afterward sliding it on to keep everything from falling out of place.

He leans down grabbing a pair of socks along with grey converse matching the shirt that he's wearing, he slips on his white socks before putting on his shoes with a little difficulty, he moved his fingers messily tying his laces before he straightens out his body looking at himself in the mirror liking his outfit.

Steve looks at the clock his eyes widening a bit at the time, before quickly grabbing a jacket that was laying on his floor along with his bag, scurrying down the stairs of his home, almost tripping his way down, he grabbed his keys from the kitchen counter heading out the door and into his car.

He needed to pick up Max along with Robin before school started since the red-haired girl didn't have a ride since...Billy.

Steve unlocked his car tossing his backpack and jacket onto the backseat clumsy starting the engine and heading out towards Max's house first, He drove past the 'Benny's Burgers' that was close to his house swiftly driving three the streets of the small town eventually reaching Max's house, he stops in front of the medium-sized house pressing his palm against the horn listening to the loud sound echo threw out the quiet neighborhood.

He waited for a few seconds before seeing Max come out of her house, her headphones around her shoulders along with her backpack swung around her shoulders, she waves her hand at Steve while lightly jogging towards the car and entering the backseat, while pushing Steve's bag and jacket away so she could sit there comfortably, "Seatbelt" spoke Steve while looking at Max threw the rearview mirror watching as she groaned and snapped it on.

Steve slightly smiled before pulling out from the driveway heading out of her neighborhood heading to the one across from hers, passing the smaller houses towards the small brown one at the end of the block, stopping in front of it pressing his hold once again watching as Robin immediately pops out from the front door running full speed towards the car.

He leaned over the seat unlocking the door watching her open the door throwing her bag on the floor of the car before sitting down and clumsily putting on her seatbelt, before the three of them head out to school, Steve drives past the Hawkins Hospital along with the Main Plaza pulling up into the middle school parking lot to drop off Max first, he stops the car by the entrance of the school, watching as the orange-haired girl left the car with a quiet bye and the door slamming shut.

Steve looked over at Robin seeing her wave her hand at Max before he steps on the gas pulling out from the middle school, not wanting to go past the cemetery deciding to go past the Hawkins Cinema and threw the Radio Shack, seeing the building of his school slowly get bigger the more closer he drives.

He slightly slows down, bringing the speed limit around ten since there were a lot of people walking around and across the parking lot, Steve slowly drove around the schools parking lot eventually finding an empty one and quick parking in it before anyone else took it looking into the side mirrors to make sure there was enough space for both of them to get out without hitting the other cars with the doors.

Steve moved the stick shift putting the car in park before taking the keys out of the ignition before looking over at Robin, "You ready for today?" He spoke while nervously looking over at her knowing that the basketball team is going to try bothering him in many ways than one, He watched as Robin nodded her head causing her short hair to move along with her movements. "You'll make it threw today like you do every day"

He smiled softly while hesitantly before nodding his head and carefully exciting out of the car quickly opening the door to the back of his car grabbing his bag and jacket, closing it, and waiting for Robin to get out.

Steve watched as her head popped out of the car lazily watching around the car where Steve was standing, He grabbed his keys locking his car before walking away from the vehicle hooking his backpack onto his shoulder while shoving his keys onto his back pocket, walking along with Robin threw the main doors of the school, listening to people talk loudly amongst their group of friend's.

The brown-haired male eventually separated from Robin since her locker was farther away from his, he walked towards his locket to put his bag away and get his things out, while passing along groups and groups of people, listening to them talk about the recent drama that was spreading threw Hawkins once again.

Steve made it to his locker grabbing the small lock and twisting the three-digit combination before opening and placing his bag onto the hook of his locker while unlocking his bag and taking out his binder along with his English book since it was his first class of the day.

He slightly looked around the hallway sighing at how crowded it was, Steve shoved his jacket into his locker next to his backpack before closing it making sure the lock clicked into place before he moved his body heading towards his first class of the day, walking through the crowded Hawkins School, looking over at the familiar locker he's grown to observe from far away, it was Billy's.

It still is his. The school never got rid of the stuff inside it because everyone thought that he just went on a trip because his dad left after he found out about "Billy leaving" Susan was never informed about his death and just thought that Billy ran away back to California, so the school was never told about his death.

Steve always thought that it was crazy that no one knew even though the cemetery is right by the school, no one went there due to not wanting to grief for lost ones, it's crazy how Max was forced to keep Billy's death a secret not only from her mother but from the school.

He sighed heavily as he walked threw the halls passing by the Basketball team of the school, mentally cheering when they all don't notice him, not wanting to start off his day with having to listen to those jerks scream his ear off.

Steve entered his classroom, walking threw the row of desks before sitting down at his assigned one that was in the middle of the classroom near the back, he placed his binder and book down on his desk while sliding into the hard chair, already not looking forward to today as he heard the bell ring loudly threw the halls and the slowly crowding classroom.

He already wanted to go home and sort threw Billy's belongings once again.
