Chapter 4
Brooke's POV
Once practice was over and the incident with Jordan. I made my way home to get my siblings and take them out for our ritual of ice cream on the first day of school.
Once we were at Coldstone, the twins already knew what they wanted, vanilla with sprinkles. I ended up getting my usual cookies and cream. After getting our ice cream, we sat down at a table and I struck up a conversation.
"How was your guys' first day of school?" I asked.
"Good" They replied in unison.
"How was yours?" MacKenzie asks while Jaxon is just devouring his ice cream.
"It was okay." I say kinda dryly.
The door bell rang indicating that someone just entered the shop, me not paying attention to it continue talking to the twins.
"Hey there Babygirl." Says the voice I knew all to well.
"My name is Brooke, Jordan." I said very much irritated.
"We've already been through this, anyways who are these pretty kiddies." He asked.
"My brother Jaxon and my sister MacKenzie." I reply in a very bored tone.
"Hi!" My sister greets shyly, while my brother just stares at him like an intruder.
"Hey there, um Brooke can I talk to you?" He asks
"No you cannot! Come on guys it's getting late." I say while getting up and throwing our trash away, and taking the twin's hands and leading them out of the shop.
After strapping the twins in I check my phone noticing I have a new text.
'We need talk Brooke. You can't hide from me.' It says from no one other than Jordan.
'We don't need to talk about anything, leave me alone!' I texted back after a few minutes.
I don't know why I'm so mad at him, I guess because I didn't want him to be a player, I wanted him to be the good guy, the right guy, for me at least. As soon as we got home, my mom put the twins to bed and I went up to my room to shower and go to bed. Hopefully in not dreaming of Jordan.
Jordan's POV
When I got home, I saw that my parents weren't there as always. I didn't want to be home alone right now so I figured I'd go and get some ice cream from Coldstone. I jumped in my car and headed to the shop. Upon arriving I see the cutest kids ever and I see a girl sitting across from them. I knew it was her. Brooke.
I make my way over and greet her by saying,
"Hey Babygirl." I say with a smirk.
"My name is Brooke, Jordan." She replies back with an irritated tone.
I sigh. "We've already been through this, anyways who are these pretty kiddies?" I ask while looking over at the adorable twins.
"My brother Jaxon and my sister MacKenzie." she says in a bored tone.
"Hi!" The little girl said shyly, while the little boy just glares at me. Awkward.
"Hey there, um Brooke can I talk to you?" I ask her.
"No you cannot! Come on guys it's getting late." She says and gets up leaves.
Suddenly I'm not so hungry anymore I walk out of the shop and text Brooke. She texts back a few minutes later. My goodness this girl is driving me insane. I get in my car and drive home, play a couple of video games, eat dinner, shower and hop in the bed. Hopefully dreaming of Brooke tonight.
