Chapter 2
Brooke's POV
Jordan Bradley. Total hottie and smart ass at the same time. Eww no Brooke he's a player snap out of it!
"I have to go." I say and quickly start to walk away.
"Brooke!" He calls out but I keep walking.
I get to my locker and I'm attacked by my three best friends Justin, Jacob (twins also), and Tracy, she's my co-captain on the team.
"So what was that?" Tracy inquired.
"What was what?" I ask playing dumb.
She gave me that 'you know exactly what I'm talking about' look before saying,
"You and Jordan Bradley outside!"
"Oh that, that wasn't anything we just bumped into each other, anyway let me see your schedule."
She hands me her schedule and I see we have 3/7 classes together, but it's better than no classes together.
"We have the first three periods together." Just as I say that the warning bell rings.
"Well let's get going then."
We head to Math class and take our usual spots in the back right corner. We start talking about the upcoming season till the final bell rings and Mr.Gard starts class with a worksheets, he gives us the option of partners so me and Tracy start working together, we finish and just talk until the bell rings and we make our way to AP Spanish.
We have assigned seats so I find my seat by the wall and Tracy is all the way across the room from me. Just great. Just as the final bell rings and Profe is about to get class started, Jordan walks in and talks to the teacher then she points by me and he comes and sits down next to me. OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD! Why does he have to sit by me?
"Okay class, I'm going to assign you your vecinos (partners) the person sitting next to you is your vecino for the rest of the year." Profe says.
Kill. Me. Now. Are you serious I have to be partners with him for the rest of the year?
"Looks like we're vecinos Hayes." Jordan says interrupting my thoughts while smirking at me.
"I guess so." I said while plastering a fake smile on my face.
"Clase, what I'm passing out is your homework."
After we got the homework the bell rang. I rushed to get my things and dashed out leaving Tracy behind. I had to get away from that boy.
I made my way to my next class which was gym. I went to the locker room to go to my locker and noticed my gym bag wasn't in there, good thing I have back up shorts so I put those on and headed to the gym. My gym teacher just told us we could do whatever so I decided to shoot some hoops. I was at the three point line shot it and made it.
Next thing I hear is someone whispering in my ear.
"Nice shot babygirl." He said.
I already knew who it was, Jordan.
"Thank you Jordan." I say back calmly.
"Oh yeah before I forget, you forgot your bag this morning when we bumped into each other, I gave it to your friend Tracy."
"Oh well thank you, I was freaking out. I was thinking a captain can't forget her bag on the first day of practice." I rambled. Something I do when I'm nervous.
"Captain of what?" He asked.
"Captain of the girls varsity team. " I say in a 'duh' sorta tone.
He just looks at me astonished and says "So your the girl I've been hearing so much about."
I wanted to say 'Of course I am, I have been captain for three years now' but I didn't.
"I hope all good things." I say nervously.
"Oh more than you know baby girl, more than you know." He says smirking.
I was just about to ask him to find out what he was talking about, but my teacher blew his whistle signaling the end of class. I got to the locker room and found my gym bag in my locker.
All I could think of is, what did he mean by "more than you know baby girl." I smiled at the fact that he called me that. Then I remembered he's a player and that smile hit the road along with all my other thoughts. "He's a player, and I will not fall for him." I say to myself as I walk out the door to finish the rest of the school day.
