Chapter 5
Brooke's POV
I can't get that stupid boy out of my mind! He invades my every thought!
I think as I get ready for school earlier than usual. I thought that I could get to school extra early to practice some of the plays for my game this Friday.
As I'm driving, I see a Caribou I pull into the drive thru to get a Hot Choffee (A/N: it's where you mix hot cocoa and coffee together, its soooo goood!) After I've got my drink, I head to school with Jordan still on my mind.
Jordan's POV
Waking up early, I got ready for school and grab an apple and make my way out the door.
I can't stop thinking about Brooke. Her smile, her skin, her eyes, and that ass. Let me stop before Jordan Jr. makes an appearance.
I hate getting to school early, it messes with my beauty sleep! I've got some late work to turn in. When I finished turning all my stuff in, I still got some time so I decided to go catch up on some plays for the game this week. I went into the locker room, changed then made my way to the gym. Once I walked in I stopped dead in my tracks cause I noticed that I'm not alone.
"Brooke?" I ask.
She froze and turned around, when she notices it's me she turns back around and shoots the ball. I walk up behind her whisper in her ear.
"Why are you ignoring me Hayes?"
"Leave me alone Jordan." She snaps.
"Not until you tell me what I did wrong." I state.
"You're a player Jordan! You play with girls' hearts then throw em' away like trash when your finished. I've seen you do that these past three years! I won't be one of those girls okay? I just won't." She yells at me.
"Let me show you I'm not like that anymore." I tell her.
"Why me? Out of all the girls in this school, why me, the black girl out of all people?" She yells again.
"You think this is because of the color of your skin? It's not! You're different Brooke. I know it sounds cliche but it's true! Your the only girl that stood up to me. I get nervous when I'm around you. I can't stop thinking about you. Please, just let me take you out on a date and show you that I can be the good guy." I pleaded with her.
"Okay." She said quietly.
I was so happy I wrapped my arms around her small frame. She froze, then after a moment she hugged me back.
"How bout I take you out on that date tomorrow?" I ask.
"I can't tomorrow. I have to watch my brother and sister." She says.
"Well how about after the game on Friday?" I asked not giving up.
"Yeah sure, that works." She says smiling.
I can't tell you how happy, excited, and nervous I am all at the same time. Now that she said yes, Where am I going to take her on this date?
Brooke's POV
After I got my plays down right, I decided to just shoot around till it was time for me to go. I was just about take a shot when I heard my name being called.
"Brooke?" The person asked.
I froze, turned around only to see none other than Jordan. I scoff, turned back around and shot the ball. Suddenly I heard him behind me whispering in my ear.
"Why are you ignoring me Hayes?" He asked.
I didn't have an answer so I just snapped at him and told him to leave me alone.
