I knew that the key that Ryan was looking for was Clara's necklace that her mother gave her. The meeting that Ryan was having was taking place tomorrow and I knew that tonight he would literally do anything to get the key he is looking for. We got back to Ryan's house and I rushed up to my room to do some research about Clara's mother and a former officer. I switched on my phone and it had numerous calls and texts from Katy. I ignored her and turned on google and looked up for Eliza Perry. The google showed a number of basic information about her but nothing more. Her awards, achievements, rank, stories about her bravery but nothing that would answer my questions related to killing herself or what the key holds to be that important.

The option that I was left with then was to hand over the key to Ryan and follow him tomorrow and catch him red-handed.

"Hey can I come in?" Clara knocked on the door and entered before I could tell her to come in. She had a bright smile on and her face that immediately lit up my room which was filled with nothing but tension. Clara sat down beside me and said,

"I had a great time today. Believe it or not this was the day I truly was happy in a long time. You make me happy Joshua."

"I'm glad to hear that, Clara. I want to make your everyday feel like that one we had today." I smiled back at her and cupped her cheek with my hand and she sank in.

Clara got up and started heading out and I watched it. She opened the door and turned back to me before leaving.

"Also thank you for listening to me and comforting me. You are the only person I have ever opened up to and I'm glad it was you because I know that out of everyone in this world, I trust you the most, with all my heart." Clara said and left the room before I could say anything else to her.

The words "I trust you the most, with all my heart" began to echo in my ears. I knew that I was going to break her trust. I knew that I somehow tricked her by taking her to the tulip field and into talking about her family so that I could find a link and especially the key. I had no other option. I got out of my room and walked towards Ryan's room. Her words were still echoing in my head and also making me feel dizzy.

I was about to knock on Ryan's room when I heard him yelling at someone. I thought that maybe he was with someone or he was talking on his cell. I put my ear to the door to listen to what he was talking about.

"I lost a whole day wandering around looking for that bitch and now I do not have time. If that bitch does not hand me over the key tonight, I will kill her." Ryan yelled in frustration and anger.

I immediately knocked on his door about hearing that. Ryan could do anything to get his way and I was already aware of the number of murder cases that Ryan was already facing. The thought of losing Clara made my eyes watery and my hand began to shake.

Ryan opened the door with a fake smile and told me to come in. I walked into his room and sat down on a black chair. The walls of his room were painted in black and navy-blue color and had silver décor around with a huge painting of black horse hung on one of the walls.

"So, what brings you here?" Ryan asked me.

"I just wanted to thank you for letting me stay and I also wanted to apologize for today." I tried to reply with a genuine face.

"Apologize for what?" Ryan asked me.

"For sneaking out and going to explore without you. I know you wanted to tag along." I replied.

"That for sure in true. I really was hurt." Ryan spoke with a frown. That bastard could not make it sound acceptable.

"Well, if it's any worth, Clara is not the best person to hang out with anyway. She was a pain in the ass." I said to Ryan with a grin on my face.
