CLARA

I wondered why was Ryan being so generous to offer us a trip to Scotland. I thought something was fishy but I didn't really give I much of a though. For some reason I felt safe because I was not alone and Joshua was coming along. To be honest I hardly know the guy but he helped me so that should be a reason to trust him. To be very honest the only reason I even agreed to travel with him is because I did not want to be alone with my thoughts. I felt like my thoughts controlled me and my body. I had no control over them and it's was suffocating. Joshua was quiet a distraction. When he was around, the only thoughts I had were about him. His smell that I was getting from his clothes that I had been wearing for long and I did not plan to remove them any time soon. Everything that had happened with me so far had been great. My life has not exactly been a delight and the turn of events were surprisingly incredible. Yes, I almost killed the guy who is taking me to Scotland for a trip but that thing aside I did help him to reach the party where his dear friends were waiting for me. That was an angelic deed and I deserved a trip to Scotland. I decided to put all my doubts and fears behind and live my life for once without fear.

The sky looked pretty from above, the perfect place for an angel to be because it looked no less than heaven. Beneath the clouds was a promise of Scottish hills, valleys awakening to the shine of the sunlight. The light when it touched the waters, looked like the water was shimmering with glee. The clouds looked so peaceful, white sheets spread across the majestic blue sky just swaying with the breeze. White beautiful cotton candy that I wanted to eat. I saw waterfalls from up there. The gushing water down the hill mixing with light and causing a huge rainbow. Looking at that, I remembered a saying by Charlie Chaplin, "You'll never find a rainbow if you're looking down." The irony of that quote made me laugh.

"I think you're enjoying the view" Ryan spoke to me.

"Oh yes! It's like heaven down there. I have never seen anything so pretty before."

"Hold that thought, I think what comes forward will change your mind." Ryan told me and from the corner of my eye I saw Joshua giving Ryan a death stare. Joshua had been acting very weird ever since he saw me talking with Ryan. Joshua was becoming very unpredictable because he was the one who insisted on this trip and then he was looking at Joshua like he wanted to shoot him in his head. Throughout the flight, Joshua had not spoken to me once. Maybe I was wrong about him being as nice as I had thought but it was too late to turn back as we were about to land so I thought I can still have the best trip on my life with Ryan. Ryan was a sweetheart and had a charming personality unlike the ass sitting beside me.

Around 4:45 pm, we reached Ryan's Villa. His villa was huge. It looked like a castle located at a greenfield site facing a huge river. The villa looked like a royalty. It was surrounded by nature and sunshine. Its beauty was the never-ending source of happiness. The interiors of Ryan's villa were managed with an aesthetic overhaul to maintain the Edwardian spirit. His house had a historic resonance and each room had a warm embrace. There was a correct amount of mixture with maintaining the modern as well as the vintage vibe. There was modern Italia furniture with calm color wallpapers with traditional style patterns. There were huge paintings of people and vivid nature all over the villa. Maybe they were his ancestors who owned that villa once because there was no way that Ryan could afford that kind of a property at such a beautiful location and with the best interior. He either had to be a billionaire to own that property or a criminal and he was neither so I did not give much thought to it.

A servant guided me to my room. The room was beautiful and especially the view out of my window. I felt like I was daydreaming. The river was visible and far off there were huge hills which were painted with the most embracing soul green color. The birds were chirping and squirrels were running around with nuts filled in their mouths. The sky looked pleasant with clouds just floating around. The trees were filled with red and pink flowers. The petals were all over the ground mixed with the green grass.
