When they got to the palace, the prince took Isabel to his Father and Mother,the king and the queen of Cynora . The prince greeted them and told them how he found Isabel in the forest when he went hunting.
" Where do you come from and what were you doing in the forest?" The king asked Isabel.
"I'm from the kingdom of Agnam, I lost my way and found myself in the forest" she responded
"I know that kingdom" the king responded "But how could you lost your all the way from Agnam"
Almost in tears,she replied
" I was fooled by my stepsisters and thrown in to the river. When I got conscious and woke up I found myself down the hills"
"What a wicked world, which family are you from?" he asked
She paused and said " I'm the daughter of the King of Agnam"
"You mean King cyrus?" He asked surprisedly
"Yes"
"He was my childhood friend back then,how is he doing? It has been long we've seen each other"
Isabel didn't respond for some minutes,she looked down.
"Is anything the problem?" The queen who has been silent asked.
"He is dead" Isabel finally responded
"What? How come? What happened to him? The king asked in shock.
"He was sick and couldn't survive it" Isabel said now in tears.
"Oh,come on my dear don't cry" the queen said to console her.
"It's a pity I couldn't see him before he died" the king said and shook his head.
"He sent a message to me when your mother died and now he's gone"
"And yet your stepsisters still wants to get rid of you,why do they hate you this much?" The queen asked
"Their mother hated me and my mother ever since I was born for no reason"
"What a wicked world" the queen responded
"You said her name is Isabel, right?" The queen asked the Prince who was standing beside Isabel.
"Yes, mother"
"Take her to the maids and tell them to give her one of those free Chambers. Her kingdom is unsafe for her to return to"
"Okay,mother" the prince said and did as she was told.
Isabel was taken to her Chamber,it was quite similar to her chamber in Agnam. She sat down on the bed, looking up the roof,she said "I miss you Sonia".
Just then,one of the maids brought in some foods, which she ate hurriedly,she was very hungry. She stayed back in her room after eating because she was not familiar with the palace.
Not long after she has eaten, a girl of her age entered,she was dressed in a royal attire.
"Isabel,I'm princess Tasha. I heard about you from my brother" she said as she sat beside Isabel on the bed.
"Oh" Isabel replied not knowing what to say.
" I'm sorry about the sad things that has happened to you"
"Thank you, Tasha" she replied with a smile.
"And I love your eyes too,it's different but lovely"
"Really?" She asked surprisedly
"Yes"
"You are the first person to tell me that apart from my parents".
"Really,but I'm not the first to say that because that was the first thing my brother told me when he was describing you to me. Let's go out and meet my brother, he should be on the field by now. That's he's favorite place" Tasha said and held Isabel's hand.
"Let's go" she said.
Like Tasha has said prince Williams was on the field with his horse.
"Brother!" Tasha called out to him. She ran to meet her brother still holding Isabel's hands.
"I and Isabel are here to have fun with you, right Isabel? She asked facing Isabel
"M-me, y-yes" Isabel stuttered. She has been gazing at the prince.
"Okay, should we have a horse race?" the prince asked .
"Of course, brother" Tasha said happily "Are you okay with that,Isabel?" She asked
"Yes" she replied.
The girls took their horses and mounted it. They called unto one of the guards to call the start.
Williams took the first position at the first race while Isabel took the last position.
"You are good at riding horse" Williams said to Isabel at the end of the first race.
" I always practice with my father before he died" she said and smiled at him which he returned
"You guys, should try and slow down for me" Tasha said, panting from behind.
"You need to practice more, lazy bone. I'm sure that horse would regret allowing you ride him" Williams said and everyone laughed.
"Stop teasing me, let's go on another round and I shall show you"
They went on another round but still,Tasha came last which made Williams tease her more.
Isabel looked at them, smiling "What a lovely siblings" she said, only to her hearing. After they had enough fun, riding the horse,they decided to come down and rest on the field.
" Look at that beautiful flower over there,I shall get it" Tasha said and left
" Hope the sun is not too much for you?" Williams asked looking at Isabel
" I'm Okay,thanks" she said shyly
"You have pretty eyes" he said looking into her eyes.
"Thanks for saying that" she replied "Erm.. I'm yet to know your name"
"Oh, I'm Williams"
"Oh, okay"
"Are you shy?" Williams asked still looking at her
"M-me? No, I'm not" she pretended
"It's obvious,just be free around me"
"Brother! Isabel! Don't you think this flowers is beautiful?" Tasha said running towards the two.
"Yeah,it is" Williams responded
"I love it" Isabel said and Tasha handed her one.
"Let's go back in to have something to eat" Williams said standing up.
