The blue eyes

CHAPTER 6

    "Williams!"

   He woke up opening his eyes slowly, then suddenly he shouted .

"What's happening? What am I doing here? How come?" He said looking confused.

"Didn't you go to your Chamber yesterday?"

"I think I did or didn't I?

"If you did you won't be here. You must go before someone comes in"

Williams was about to leave when Tasha entered.

"Brother! What are you doing here early in the morning" she asked looking surprised.
   There was silence,no one responded. They were stunned.

"Well....I...came to get something" Williams managed to lie.

"Hmm, okay" she replied disbelieving "Or did you sleep here? She asked as she moved closer to her brother, focusing on his eyes with her hands folded.

  "What!No!" Both William and Isabel said at the same time.

" Hey-yyy, I was only asking"

"Why will I sleep here when I have my own room,it's impossible" Williams said pretending. Just then a guard voice was heard outside.

"Princess, please have you seen prince Williams today?"

"Yes,why?" It was Tasha who replied

"He didn't sleep in his chamber last night and we have been looking for him"

"What! Do you mean it?"

"Yes,my princess"

"Okay,you may leave"
 
   There was silence for a long time, no one knew what to say.

  "Brother,is anything going on between you guys" Tasha finally broke the silence.

"No, it's just that I slept off when I came to her Chamber yesterday"

  Tasha looked at Isabel,expecting her to say something. As if she got the sign she said, " Yes,it's true. He slept off when he came in yesterday"

  "Tasha,you need to trust your brother now"

"Not that I don't trust you but I've been noticing the ways you guys behave towards each other,the way you look...."

  "That's not true Tasha, there's nothing going on between us" he said looking into Tasha's eyes as if looking for her trust.

"I trust you brother" she said and smiled " By the way Isabel, I want us to go to the town today,just to look at how beautiful  it is"

  "Ok Tasha, I'll get ready after taking breakfast"

"Can I go with you? asked Williams

"Sure brother. We shall go on our horses"

  Williams and Tasha left Isabel's chamber at the same time. She went in to her bathroom and cleaned herself up before taking her breakfast.

     "This horse is just the perfect one" Tasha said as she mounted her horse.

"  But still you never win a race with it" Williams teased

"Not again, brother"

They left the palace for the town with just two guards. They saw many people on their way, some praised them and they gave out money to them especially to those that were begging. Suddenly an old woman appeared and stopped in front of Isabel's horse.

"Do you need anything old mother?" She asked and as if she knew the old woman she got down from her horse to meet her, her face was wrinkled.

"Thank you my daughter but I don't need anything. I only want to see you"

"Me? Okay, old mother?" She said 

  "That's my hut over there"she said pointing to a hut close by " Would you mind following me there, there's something I want to tell you"

Isabel thought about it before she agreed, she told Williams and Tasha to wait for her.
   At first,she was scared when she entered the woman's hut. It had only two wooden chairs in it. There was no other rooms. She wondered where the woman sleeps and cooks.

  "My child, I can see you are afraid but don't be. I can't hurt you in anyway" the old woman said and looked closely at Isabel "Your eyes..."she said looking more closer.

"Is anything on my eyes, old mother?" Isabel asked and wiped her face.

"They are not ordinary eyes" the old woman said

"What do you mean, old mother?" She asked confusedly

"They are magical and powerful eyes"

  "I don't understand" she asked still confused

"Remember the time you were in the forest, a dear came to attack you but it died strangely"

"Yes old mother but how...."

"It was the work of your eyes"

"My eyes?"

"Yes,even though you did not control it yourself but your brain did because of the pressure of what you were thinking and the long stare you gave. You were thinking of someone to rescue you and kill the dear but because of your ignorance your brain had to control it"

"How do I control it"

"The magic only works with stares, thinking and by stretching your right fingers forward. When you stretch your right fingers,it sends signals to your brain then  to your eyes to take actions".

Isabel was confused. She didn't know whether to believe the old woman.

"If you doubt me,why don't you give it a try. Think about something, stretch your right fingers forward and stare"
 
Isabel did as she was told to do and suddenly her eyes become more bright reflecting the blue color. Just then a white cat popped out from nowhere and meowed.

"What!" Isabel said in shock and moved backwards.

"Was that what you were thinking?" the old woman asked.

"Yes old mother, that was exactly what I was thinking. The cat meowed once more and went out of the room.

"How do you know about this?" Isabel asked

"My child, don't worry about it" she said and smiled "You may go now,your friends are waiting for you"

Isabel left the old woman's hut in deep thoughts,she couldn't believe her eyes were magical. When she got to where Williams and Tasha were,they asked why the old woman wanted to see her but she told them nothing.
   They continued on their journey. After having a good look at the town,they went back to the palace.
