Niki POV:
I sit at the, now uncomfortable booth. I look around me to see what seems to be happy couples laughing with each other.
I feel guilty for not running after Sunoo, but I didn't want to bug him. I feel like I'm always messing things up with him and I don't want to mess things up this time.
I decide I should probably leave anyways, I have no point in being here.
Just as I'm about to leave, I see a familiar face enter the restaurant and I quickly sit back down and hide my face.
Heeseung.
Please don't see me, please don't see me. I think to myself hoping he doesn't bug me, now isn't a good time.
Unfortunately the universe is against me today as I hear him say,
"Niki?"
I look up, annoyed.
"Hey, Heeseung."
"Hey Niki, I saw Sunoo is everything okay between you two?" He asks.
"Uh, yeah? Everything is fine, why?" I ask.
"I just saw him a bit ago, he looked sad did he finally tell you?" He asks, seeming happy with himself.
"Tell me what?" I ask, confused.
"About the bet." He says.
"Bet?" I ask, worried.
"I bet him to ask you out, since you know your one of the popular boys or whatever I didn't think it would work but here you are." He says.
"He didn't tell me about a bet, stop lying." I say, annoyed.
"I'm not lying, Niki ask him yourself." He says, serious.
"Okay, I will." I say, standing up and leaving.
I can't help but start to feel weak, all my thoughts are taking over and my vision starts to go blurry and everything goes dark.
Sunoo POV:
"I shouldn't have left him there." I say out loud annoyed.
Before leaving the house, I barge into Jungwons room.
"Niki's in the hospital." I say, stressed. It's hard to believe my own words right now.
"What?!" Jungwon shouts.
Jake just sits there, wide eyed.
"Well I'm going over there right now." I say while starting to leave his room.
"Wait, we're coming!" He shouts again, panicked.
I don't wait for them at first but once I'm in my car I decide to wait, it would probably help if Niki saw some other people he knew besides me.
It doesn't take long for them to get outside.
We're all sitting in the car in silence. I don't mind it though, I don't want any music playing or any extra noise all I care about is that I'm really worried about Niki.
"Can you drive any faster?!" Jungwon, says worried.
"I would but I don't really want to be pulled over right now!" I semi-shout back to him.
No response.
We arrive, I barley park the car before I get out quickly and rush to the front desk with Jungwon and Jake following after me.
"Hi, we're here to see Niki." I say, quickly.
"You're going to have to be more specific than that." The man at the desk says.
"Oh uh-"
"Nishimura Riki." Jungwon cuts in.
"Are you family?" He asks.
"Yeah, uh yes we are.. family." I quick cut in.
He pauses for a second.
"Whatever my shifts about to end anyways." He leads us to what I assume is Niki's room.
"Wait, what even happened." I ask, realizing that the lady on the phone never told me.
"Well, I'm not exactly sure but he had a lot of built up stress and pressure and passed out on the pavement, so right now he isn't up and when he wakes up he might have some memory issues but other than that he is good." He says.
He just said a lot of words, it was hard for me to process them.
For some reason, I was nervous to see him.
The door opened and there he was laying in his hospital bed. A huge wave of guilt came over me, I couldn't help but feel like this was my fault, if I hadn't left he would've of felt this way, maybe?
"What if he doesn't remember us?" I ask him.
"You will have to re build your relationships." He says.
"Oh." Is the only thing I can reply with.
We all walk inside the room, as the doctor leaves.
"At least he is okay, right?" Jake says, trying to be optimistic.
"I guess, I don't want to re build my friendship with him." Jungwon says.
"Me neither." I say.
"Who would?" Jake asks.
"I mean maybe he didn't forget about us." Jake says.
"Yeah maybe." Jungwon answers.
We sit there for awhile just talking silently and looking outside the window.
All the city lights and traffic jams.
I look over at Niki, and see his eyes start to open.
"Guys, he's opening his eyes!" I whisper shout and they both look over at him.
He looks over at us, tiredly.
I begin to grow worried, I really hope he hasn't forgotten about us.
"Hi." I say.
He stares at me blankly.
I try not to panic.
"Do you know who I am?" I ask.
He stares at me confused.
"We're gonna come back in 10 minutes, Jake wants to check out the vending machines, good luck." Jungwon says.
I give him a small smile.
"Um.. I'm Sunoo, Kim Sunoo your boyfriend, well I don't know if we're labeling anything and if not that's fine, well I guess it wouldn't matter since you don't remember me." I ramble on.
I start to tear up.
I look at him, when I see a small smirk appear on his face.
I look at him confused.
"Of course I remember you Sunoo, I just wanted to see how you would react." He smiles widely at me.
"Niki! You can't do that, I was so worried!" I shout.
He laughs, "come here."
I sit on the floor beside him and give him a hug.
"You know, Heeseung said the funniest thing at the restaurant earlier." He says, sort of laughing to himself.
"What did he say?" I ask, smiling.
"He said you asked me out for a bet, and our relationship was all a bet. Isn't that stupid?" He asks.
My smile fades.
He looks at me concerned.
"It wasn't a bet right?" He asks.
