Sunoo's POV:
I'm not sure what to do at this point.
I think about all the things that could go wrong as well as some possible good outcomes of meeting Niki at the park.
Some bad outcomes:
1. He could say he hates me
2. He could not be there and embarrass me
3. He could tell me "I'm straight, I never liked you."
4. He could tell me he's moving and will never see me againSome good outcomes:
Quite honestly I haven't thought of any. I do the only thing that seems logical in that moment call Sunghoon.
I wait for him to pick up impatiently but luckily he picks up pretty quickly.
"Sunoo, hey I'm kinda busy." He says in a rushed tone.
I sit there for a second unsure of what to say.
"Then... why did you pick up the phone?" I ask.
He doesn't talk for a good minute and I can hear the wind in the microphone causing me to turn down the volume on my phone.
"Look Sunoo, I'm kinda busy right now so please make it quick." He says.
"Well, you see." I say.
"Go on.." He says sounding impatient.
"Okay, well you see.." I say as I nervously look at the text Niki sent me that has been there for over 10 minutes.
"Niki sent me a text, and right now I'm not really talking to him because I don't want him to like break up with me or something so I'm too scared to face him right now, I don't even know what our relationship is at this point." I can feel my voice starting to break.
"Slow down Sunoo, I barely heard a word you just said." He says, sounding a bit more sincere.
"Ok, um." I start to say trying to slow down. "Moral of the story is-"
"Don't say 'moral of the story' Sunoo you sound like my therapist."
"Sorry.. well basically I'm to scared to meet up with Niki right now so could you by any chance meet up with-"
"No." He says cutting me off.
"Why." I say.
"I'm not in a relationship with Niki, I don't need to see him." He says, sounding somewhat logical.
"Please, I'll buy you dinner after." I say desperate.
"Fine." He says.
"Thank you!" I say.
"But I'm not doing this again." He says.
"Okay.."
"Bye I'll meet up with you at 6 okay?" He says.
"Yup." and with that the phone call ends.
I sit there impatiently waiting for 6 to arrive.
Back to Niki:
I sit there digging my shoes into the wood chips until I hear someone.
