The 11 Miles Ritual

     Hello! I'm here writing a chapter uhm Ya. I was pretty sure I had already done this one, but I didn't see it, so I guess I didn't lol. So, what is the 11 miles ritual? Well, if you can travel the 11 miles you get a reward, but of course it isn't exactly that simple because why would it be? For each of the 11 miles you are being tested and the test gets harder, and if you fail you could die or get seriously hurt.

     Rules

1. Do not roll your windows down

2. Do not use your cellphone

3. Do not turn on the radio

4. Do not get out of the car until the ritual is completed

5. Do not drive faster than 30mph (48kph)

6. Do not use a self-driving car

     Supplies

1. A Wish/Desire

2. A Car

3. Enough gas for the journey

4. Back roads

     How to Play

1. Start late in the night when there isn't alot of traffic

2. Go to the backroads and double check that the car radio and your cellphone are turned off

3. As you drive think of the thing you want

4. You will know you have reached the road by a change in the feeling around you, you may even see something symbolic of your wish, and the road will be lined with trees

5. You have now found the 11 miles you will be tested on

     Mile 1.

Your car will start to get colder and will continue to get colder, so you may want to turn up the heat.

     Mile 2.

The car will continue to decline in temperature, so again you may want to turn up the heater

     Mile 3.

The road will no longer be paved and as you drive. You will see humanoid silhouettes and shadows; you need to ignore them no matter what and keep your eyes of on the road you do not want to get distracted

     Mile 4.

There will be no more shadows and silhouettes instead they will be replaced with whispers and voices, ignore them, and keep your eyes on the road, if you listen to them, they will get closer and that's not good

     Mile 5.

AS you drive the trees may disappear and a pretty lake lit by a full moon will come into view, ignore this and focus on the road. Do not stop the car and do not get out.

     Mile 6.

The trees will reappear, but the moon and stars will disappear, your headlights will turn on and off like they are going out, and the radio will turn on, telling you of your worst fears, do not try to turn the radio of it will not work. Focus on the road, at this point it will get twistier and easier to have an accident.

     Mile 7.

Going on mile 7 the voices from before will come back but this time they will be screams approaching you. You may hear a voice coming from your very back seat telling you things. Ignore it, do not look at it, if you look at it you may go off the road, and you will not like what you see

     Mile 8.

The road will become even more difficult to navigate and there are going to be many more distractions. The humanoid shadows will reappear, you will hear their voices and their claws as they scrape your car. Your headlight may even turn off, if they do you can slow down but you may not stop, if you stop, they will catch you and that would be bad

     Mile 9.

The car will stall when it does close your eyes and restart it, don't open your eyes until it restarts. The hominoids are surrounding you and are going to do everything they can to distract you, they will fall back when you begin to drive again. Ignore whatever they do to try to distract you

     Mile 10.

The voices will stop, but no matter how tempted you are do not look back and do not look into your back seat, just keep driving.

     Mile 11.

Your car will stop again, but it will continue to move, you are no longer in control of your car. You might see a glowing red light in front of you. Close your eyes and cover them if needed, you don't want to see what's going on around you, and trie to ignore sound you may hear, and it may get very hot. It's said that you may be driving through hell itself, this should only last about 30 seconds, but it will most likely feel like much longer.

17. When power comes back to your car and you can take control of it again, the noises will also fade. The road will come to a dead end, stop the car and take a moment to relax. Think about whatever thing it was that you wanted and the reason you went through this ritual. Once finished you can open your eyes and you will be at the beginning of the road.

     Getting what you wished for

Depending on what you wanted the location may vary, if it was something large check your trunk and if it was something smaller it may be in your back seat or even your pocket. If it was something non-material if will manifest in some way within the next couple days.

I give this one an 8 because it sounds like these humanoid shadows are doing everything in their power to distract you, and you know what they say, "Never distract the driver", and well that exactly what they are trying to do. Plus, (Potentially) driving through literal hell doesn't exactly sound all that safe, n I dunno there is kinda just an overall air of danger.

     Hello! Before I ended this, I wanted to say a couple of things 1. if anyone needs someone to talk to or just wants to make a friend feel free to message me and 2. I've decided to share a short story I wrote a couple months ago for a class, it's called Letters for Annie, I just need to double check it for spelling mistakes and other formatting errors. So, the story itself is about Artus and Harriot, and their developing relationship as they try to find out what happened to Artus's friends. So, ya, if you're interested in reading it, I'll be uploading it here soon, I'm hoping to have it out tonight or at least in a couple of days. That's all, so bye! Well for now at least lol.
