A few friends were staying at a cabin for the week in a nice summer break. The cabin's woods were called Cherryville Woods.

Fayola was talking to Charlotte as she and Austin were setting up the campfire. Eduardo was throwing an ax at the tree. Indah walked up to them.

"I heard some local legends about this place. Why did we come here of all places again?" She asked. "It was the cheapest. And you believe the bullshit they made up to sell shit?" Eduardo replied. "It's not some ghost story or Bigfoot. Rumors of a cult in these woods." Indah insisted.

"Believe what you want." Ed rolled their eyes and picked up the ax, throwing it again.

The group enjoyed a night by the campfire, sharing stories. Indah informed them about the local legends and it actually seemed to scare the others. Eduardo just seemed skeptical. The group put out the fire at around 11pm for the night. At about 11:23, Indah noticed the ax was still outside.

She decided to do her friend a favor and get it. Besides, she didn't want anyone getting hurt with it, either it falling into wrong hands or someone trying to get it down and being injured. She walked outside to retrieve the ax.

Indah was close to the tree when she heard footsteps. A shiver went down her spine. She looked up at the ax again, a spilt second later, it fell and chopped her right arm off. She screamed in agony and spotted a red light that was from a camera.

She was in a frenzy of panic so she didn't question it that much. She just screamed about the cult being real when she was knocked unconscious.

The supposed symbol from the cult was drawn on her forehead in her own blood as she was hung from a noose on the very tree the ax was. She struggled and strained until her body went limp. The killer giggled. "Oh you fool, Indah. You believed in it so much that it's the thing that killed you."

Eduardo washes their hands and he swung the ax into the side of the trunk. He walked up to their room, the only thing he had left of the crime was the recording, which he sold on the dark web with the title 'The Blair Witch Project Sequel.'

The group was horrified by the scene outside and left it up to the rumored cult. The cops never found out and it was just another murder that Eduardo had committed but never was linked to.
