You stood waiting outside the potions classroom with Hermione. It was the first lesson of 6th year's potions and you had thankfully gotten an O on your O.W.L.S. You noticed that Harry and Ron weren't here since they only got an E on the O.W.L.S.

"Right come on in!" Exclaimed Slughorn as he moved his hand signalling for everyone to pop into the classroom.

You and Hermione entered the classroom and decided to take place in the middle. As you placed your bag down you dug into your bag and took out your Advanced potions book. Going back to the front of the classroom where Hermione was you saw a cauldron boiling away.

"Right everyone gather around please!" Slughorn ordered "Now this morning I actually-

His speaking was stopped as two boys came rushing through the door. Harry and Ron.

"Ah, Harry m'boy!" Slughorn greeted "I see you've brought someone with you?"

You saw Harry nudge Ron lightly, indicating for him to introduce himself.

"Ron Weasley sir," Ron said, from the corner of your eye you could see Lavender perk up and stare intensely at him, but you also saw Hermione give her a slight look of jealousy. "But I'm actually dead awful at potions, a menace honestly, so I'm probably just going to-

Harry stopped him from leaving as Slughorn raised his eyebrows.

"Oh not to worry any friend of Harry's is mine!" He said rather cheerfully "Just grab your books and join us"

"Uh actually sir we don't have our books," Harry said

"Just grab one from the cupboard then!"

Harry and Ron headed over to the cupboard and saw only two books available. One was old and scruffy looking, while the other was brand new. Harry and Ron shoved each other but Ron got the new one.

Soon the two boys joined the rest of the class as Slughorn began to speak again.

"Right, as I was saying I just brewed some concoctions this morning, any idea what they are?" He asked

Hermione immediately raised her arm.

"Yes, Miss...

"Granger, sir"

Hermione then walked up and stood in front of one pot.

"That one there is Veristaserum, it's a truth-telling serum"

"And this one-

You zoned out as you found yourself staring at Harry. You never really noticed how his jawline got defined as the years went on, it was honestly incredible-
