"Run, Champ," I laughed as we fled the bandits after stealing their gold that the Marines were trying to confiscate. Champ barked, following after me. We just got done getting food at a restaurant and extra water before we saw Marines yelling at a bunch of bandits. They were taking back stolen gold, but I stole some of the loot for myself, leading to now. Champ and I outrunning pirates trying to steal the gold, bandits demanding their gold back, and Marines trying to retrieve the gold.

I really needed a bigger sailboat. Mine was small. I saw a bigger, better sailboat next to mine in the harbor. I smirked. I had my backpack on my back, so I had everything. Water, food, a bit of booze, dog food, and gold. We hopped inside the bigger boat.

"Imperium," I said, and my devil fruit rowed the boat itself. I laughed, waving over my shoulder at the guys we left in the dust. This was the perfect size. I never really made my own jolly roger, but maybe I will now that I have the perfect sailboat. I had gotten a map of the Grand Line from a friendly old guy that ran the restaurant. Champ and I have been out at sea for two months, and I've gotten pretty popular amongst small time, tiny pirate crews, Marines, and bandits all around. I waved down the newspaper seagull.

"That's-"

"Yeah, yeah. I know. Here ya go." I exchanged the coins for a newspaper before he flew off. I sighed in content as I settled back, opening the paper. Champ laid in my lap as I looked. Inside, a bounty paper fell out. I caught it before the wind took it. It was a bounty of...me! "Well, well, well. What an interesting sight. Let's see how much I'm worth?" I read the paper before chuckling to myself. "5 million berries, huh? That's insane. And this is my first bounty. How weird. I wonder why it's so much."

• [ Mind Controlling Devil Fruit ]
• [ Excellent with daggers. Multiple in possession and can expertly throw daggers at any target, including moving ones. ]
• [ Lone pirate that can take down small pirate crews, groups of bandits, and small teams of Marines. All singlehandedly. ]
• [ Escaped exactly 26 captures from Marine troops. ]

I shrugged, "Who knows. Marines are so weird." I read the paper as I lightly pet my dog. He was fast asleep on me, so I just let him sleep. I already disappeared from the Marines without a trace. Just like I always did. "This is a little excessive for a pirate without a crew, though, isn't it? Oh, well. There's really nothing I can do about it. I might have to stay on the down low for a while, though."

I yawned. I cracked my back against the edge of the boat. I glanced at a certain article. It was explaining my bounty. My description. "This man is known as The Black Cap Pirate, The Rogue Pirate, or The Double Eyed Pirate." I scoffed. "Rude. What's wrong with my eyes? Is it because they're two different colors?" I sneered at the paper. "Scumbags," I muttered. I glanced at my log pose. "Almost there."
