You knocked on the door of your boyfriend, Tom's house. It's been a while since you got to hang out with him, with your work schedule taking up most of your time nowadays. You hoped that you'd be able to surprise him with your next few days being free. As you were about to knock again, the door opened to reveal a fluffy headed ginger in front of you.

"(Y/N)! I've missed you! Where have you been? Did you forget about us?!" The tall, ecstatic redhead wrapped you into a hug, lifting you up slightly. "Matt, it's only been about a week, I'd never forget about you guys," you replied while giggling, hugging Matt back. "Don't worry, I have the next few days off!"

He led you inside, where you greeted Tom's other roommate, Edd, who was sitting on the couch. You engaged in short conversation with the both of them, briefly talking about your job and how tight your schedule has been recently.

"Well, I'm sure Tom has missed you a lot, but he just went out to run some errands. Feel free to do anything you'd like while you wait," Edd said to you with a warm smile. He's always been so nice to you and the others, so welcoming and understanding.

"I think I'll wait in his room," you said. "It'll be like a surprise, you know?" You knew that Tom wouldn't have any issue with you going into his room without asking, since you've done it before and you've been together for about 5 months now. Edd nodded, turning back to the TV as Matt sat down with him. You walked down the hallway to Tom's room, closing the door as you entered.

As you sat back on Tom's bed, you started thinking about the things that happened during the course of your relationship. 

Tom had always been softer towards you, and you easily noticed that a few days after you both started hanging out more. When you went on adventures with him and the others, he always made sure that you'd be safest out of all of them. After you two began dating, he'd tell you (in private, of course) how much he loved you for you. You reminisced the time where he took you to a concert of your favorite artist, knowing that you've never been to a concert before. The time where he earned himself a bruised rib defending you at his favorite bar, every time he made you start snort laughing with his corny jokes, high fiving him. He always made you feel so special, and you loved him for that.

You loved your boyfriend Tom.

That's why, when he walked into his room to be greeted with the sight of you, you pulled him to his bed and began cuddling and kissing his face.

"(Y/N), is something wrong?" Tom was confused. Up until now, there's never been a moment where you were both this affectionate towards each other, and Tom didn't know how to manage the situation. As you cuddled him, you spilled each and every emotion that you've been holding while he was gone.

"Tom, you're just so special to me. You've been there for me through so much, for so long. I'm sorry that I haven't been around lately, work's been a bitch lately," you said, half chuckling. "Today, I just want to be with you like you've been there for me all these months. If that's okay."

Tom hesitantly lifted your chin and came in for a kiss. Nothing like those corny sparks that you always read about happened, but it never fails to feel as wonderful as it did the first time that he did this. You deepened the kiss, running your fingers through his spiky hair as he put his hands on your hips to flip you on top of him. You broke the kiss for a breath, looking at him and panting slightly. His hair was slightly disheveled, lips swollen and eyes(?) half-lidded.
