You're the best thing that's ever happened to me Bella. Possederai il mio cuore per sempre!
The two of them stood holding each other just gazing into each other's eyes for what felt like forever. Neither woman wanting to burst the bubble they were currently in. "Ok, let's get going, our date isn't finished yet" Danielle smiled giving the brunette a kiss. "Danielle, wait! I want to take a photo of this moment" Stefania said, pulling the blonde back on to the wall setting her phone up opposite to take a photo of them with the city behind.

"Hmmm, ok babe, come on there's more to go" Danielle whispered kissing her girlfriend once more before leading her back up the stairs and down the path towards the castle gates again. "Just double checking, you've definitely got comfortable footwear on yeah?" She asked the brunette as they walked on to the top of The Royal Mile. "Si Bambina, these are the comfiest sneakers I own" Stefania smiled rubbing her thumb on the back the blonde's thumb as their hands were intertwined. "Ok good, we've got a little bit of a walk now" Danielle smiled.
The two women walked the length of the Royal Mile from the castle at the top of the hill down to Holyrood Palace at the bottom. They stopped and browsed through shops and marvelled at all the alleyways and closes on the way. Stefania was fascinated by all the cashmere and different tartans the shops had to display. Danielle meanwhile was attracted to the numerous bottles of whisky that were on display all the way down the hill. "Bella, we'll come back and buy you all the whisky you want before we go home to London. You can't carry it all today" Stefania laughed. "Home huh?" Danielle grinned as they kept walking. "Yes Danielle, home. I've not really felt at home anywhere for a long time. Yes I love my house & I'm happy there but I see that London is home for you and well, wherever you are that's where I'm happy to be. You're my home now Bella" Danielle couldn't answer, she just grinned like a child.
They kept walking down passed Holyrood Palace and into Holyrood Park. "Ok, next stop is up there" Danielle pointed to the top of Arthur's Seat. "We're going hiking?" Stefania asked with wide eyes and a less than amused look on her face. The blonde burst out laughing "yes baby, we are, but it's not a long hike and I promise it'll all be worth it" she grabbed Stefania's hand and dragged her along to the bottom of the hill. Just under an hour later and they were at the top of the hill. The view was incredible but the sight that took Stefania's breath away was the beautiful picnic laid out on a huge tartan blanket with champagne chilling in a bucket of ice and a helicopter sitting a little bit away. "Danielle? What's all this?" "Well, here, have a seat and I'll tell you." Danielle said offering her hand to help Stefania sit on the blanket. "I knew that today was the day that I wanted to tell you that I love you. But I wanted it to be so incredibly special because Stefania, you're so special. You're so so special. And I do love you. With all my heart. But, the moment I knew that I loved you was all those weeks ago back in Seattle when you took me for that beautiful picnic and I opened up to you about my Dad. So I wanted to recreate that for you because it was one of the most romantic things that's ever happened to me, even though that wasn't an actual date." She laughed as she explained. Stefania wasn't laughing though. She was just sat there in awe with tears streaming down her face, looking at her beautiful girlfriend. "Stef... baby... don't cry" the blonde pulled the Italian close kissing the tears from her face. "These are happy tears Bella, I promise. In case you also missed it. I love you too. I knew I had big feelings for you that same day. But I think for me, the moment I knew it was love was when you got hurt protecting me from Cooper. No one has ever been so willing to stand up for me before. My heart just about exploded, not to mention the fact that it was really hot too" she laughed. "Hmm, come on, let's eat" Danielle smiled, quickly kissing her favourite pair of lips before pouring the champagne.
