Tyler's POV

I had to think about things. I didn't know what things. I just knew something, other than Troye, was very, very wrong. That random man who harassed me was taking over my thoughts. I didn't know what to think, honestly

When I looked at the clock, I realized that my mother had been gone for twenty minutes. For all I knew this hospital was five minutes away from my apartment. It should take her ten of those minutes to find a laptop. I waited a little more time.

As I started getting more tired, the sound of the seconds going slowly by on the clock started to get louder. I was rudely awakened fully by doctors yelling and screaming for people to move as they moved a stretcher down the corridor. I was too drowsy to be concerned who it was. I knew it wasn't my mother.

By this time, another twenty minutes passed, and my mother still hadn't returned. I expected her to come back into my room complaining about how she didn't have house keys. She never came back.

I struggled to sit up and get out of the very uncomfortable bed, as the bruises on my ribs had gotten worse. I went out to the receptionist thinking she would be able to help me. "Have you seen anybody around here? She is a little short, 80's style hair, and a 45-50 year old stature?" I interrogated, thinking I would get help.

"I did," she said. "But, sweetheart, I haven't yet seen her return. What time was she supposed to be back here?"

"She left for my apartment forty-five minutes ago now," I said, looking at the nearest clock to get an exact amount of time. "She really should have been back thirty minutes ago."

She shrugged, apologised, and returned clicking away on her twenty-year old computer keyboard. Instead of leaving the desk, like most normal people would do, I stepped back, and stood. I had never gotten that kind of answer before on a question I'd ever asked. After a few moments of thinking, I left the desk, the receptionist who was apparently named Sequoia, still typing away on her keyboard.

I walked down the corridor, looking into the rooms as I explored. Mostly, I saw senior citizens and pregnant women. I saw one young boy with a breathing mask on. I continued down the path of the corridor until I reached the end. I stepped into the very last room. There, as I already knew, Troye was lying on the bed, breathing tube that was down his throat, gone. His IV fluids were still hooked on, but at least he could breathe on his own again.

I pulled a chair next to his bed. I placed my thumb on his forehead, and softly rubbed. I massaged his temples using my forefingers on both hands. He didn't wake up. I smiled. Sleepy boy, I thought, still rubbing. It was peaceful where he and I was, and nobody had disturbed us. It was deadly quiet on the room, except for the tempo of his heart beating, to the perfect time of Fun. I became so distracted with Troye's perfect appearance that eventually, I tuned the sound of the machines out.

Suddenly, a doctor, one in which I didn't recognize, entered the room. She had a clipboard in her hand, and a blue pen on her ear. "Hello, Tyler, my name is -"

She was cut off by my eyes opening. My mother was sitting in a chair by the door, and my laptop was sitting on my stomach. "Thanks, Mom," I moaned. I opened my laptop. I saw that Google Chrome was already opened. I clicked on the open icon. I couldn't believe what I saw.
