Naruto sat on her bed, staring blankly at the wall in front of her. Today was supposed to be her first day back homeschooling with her teacher Iruka, a day filled with sarcasm. But for now, she was locked in her room, avoiding her parents.
After her parents found out Naruto was telling the truth they tried to apologize but Naruto refused to talk to them. After her birthday Naruto was informed that she would not return to school and would stick to homeschooling, but she didn't care all Naruto felt was numb as she lay on her bed even refusing to do anything.
But then, her parents betrayed her trust. They had forced Naruto to take an exam.
Naruto couldn't believe it. She had always been an outstanding student and a responsible daughter, but one mistake ruined everything. As she sat there, she heard a knock on her window. She didn't want to answer, but the knock persisted. Finally, she got up and opened her window, widening at the sight of Haku standing on the other side.
"Hey," Haku said softly, noticing Naruto's tears. "I heard what happened. I'm sorry."
Naruto couldn't hold back her emotions anymore. She broke down in tears, telling Haku everything that had happened. Haku listened patiently, his arms wrapped around Naruto in a comforting hug.
"I'm here for you, Naruto," Haku said, his voice determined. "Why don't you come stay for a few days, just to get away for a while?"
Naruto looked up at Haku, feeling a glimmer of hope. Maybe things weren't as hopeless as they seemed. With Haku by her side, she knew she could face anything.
"Okay," Naruto smiled as Haku wiped her tears with a bright smile, pressing a kiss against her cheek.
"Great I'll pack your clothes; we can walk to my house." Naruto nodded as she giggled.
As Naruto climbed down the trellis outside her bedroom window, her heart pounded with fear and excitement. She had always been an honorable girl, obedient and dutiful, but her parents' betrayal shattered her trust in them.
Haku waited for her outside her bag in his hands. Naruto knew she couldn't stay in that house anymore. She needed to get away, clear her mind, and figure out what to do next.
As she and Haku walked through the quiet streets, her mind raced with all the possibilities of what might happen next. What if her parents followed her? What if they disowned her for leaving? What if she never saw them again?
But Naruto pushed those thoughts aside, focusing instead on the warm glow of the fall leaves and the cool breeze on her face. She was free, at least for the moment, and that was all that mattered.
When they finally arrived at Haku's house, she was out of breath and trembling with nerves. But as soon as Haku opened the door and embraced Naruto, a sense of calm washed over her.
For the first time in weeks, she felt not alone. And as she sat with Haku, laughing, and crying, she knew she had made the right decision to leave. As Haku finished doing Naruto's hair his eyes were filled with curiosity as he sat next to Naruto.
"So... when I was looking for some clothes, I found this!" Naruto's eyes widened as the site of the phone Hinata gave her appeared in front of her.
"Hey, Haku! Give that back!" Naruto tried to reach for it only for Haku to raise his hand higher despite being taller than her.
I won't let you until you tell me who got you this. "The blonde pouted as she grabbed the phone, causing both to fall onto the floor.
"Oh, Haku are you okay?" the brunette nodded as he snatched the phone out of his friend's hand.
