Naruto flips through a stack of apartment listings, her eyebrows furrowed in concentration. The realtor that Naruto had managed to remember, Misul, approaches her, holding the keys to another apartment.
"I've got one more listing to show you, Ms. Uzumaki. This one just came on the inlet."
Naruto follows Misul to the fifth apartment of the day. After that horrible date she had to go to because her mother set her up, Naruto called her realtor to show her more apartments.

Naruto follows Misul to the fifth apartment of the day. After that horrible date she had to go to because her mother set her up, Naruto called her realtor to show her more apartments.
She couldn't stay with Sawyer after what happened this morning. Her blue eyes stared at the apartment. It's a modest yet charming space with plenty of natural light and hardwood floors.
"Ms. Uzumaki, this is it! I can already picture you living here!" Misul expresses excitement; she figures that the poor Beta had been tired of showing her apartments all day, so she decided to give him a break.
Naruto hesitates for a moment, trying to focus on the decision at hand. But Misul's enthusiasm is infectious, and before she knows it, Naruto finds herself nodding in agreement.
Naruto turns towards him with a smile and says, "You're right, Em. This is the one." Misul smiles back just as brightly as he hands Naruto the lease agreement, and she signs it without much thought, her mind already drifting to the horrifying thoughts of her mother planning her wedding venues and bridal dresses.
With his loud, excited tone, Misul snaps her out of her daze. " Congratulations! I'll get the paperwork sorted, and you can move in just as you wanted."
Naruto forces a smile, her heart racing with nerves. She didn't know why Sawyer had to mention being married; she didn't want to think about the impending wedding she would have to be in if she were to say yes, but a nagging feeling of uncertainty gnaws at the back of Naruto's mind.

Boom! Boom! Boom!
At the bustling gun range, Sakura stood alongside his friends, casually aiming at their targets. The sound of gunfire echoed through the air as they honed their skills, their camaraderie palpable as they competed for the best shot.
I mean, they had to have the best shot, or they would be killed on site by enemies who ran against them.
In the distance, there is Minato, who stands observing them. His imposing presence and sharp gaze made them straighten up, a subtle reminder of his authority in both their personal and professional lives.
As the shooting session came to a brief pause, Ino leaned in with a knowing look in his eyes. "Hey, did you hear about Naruto? She's living with her dad, Sawyer."
Sakura's brows furrowed in concern. Naruto was his friend, and she had barely gotten home, and so much had happened that he hadn't even gotten to fully talk to her. But he didn't like that she was a brilliant Omega who shared a special bond with him. The fact that she was now living with her Alpha crime boss made him suspicious.
Turning towards Minato, Sakura sought clarification that he didn't want to think it's true. Sakura had figured that Naruto was living back with her parents. "Sir, I heard that Naruto is living with Sawyer now. Is that true?"
Minato's expression darkened as he confirmed the news. "Yes, it's true. I didn't want it this way, but Naruto insisted on staying with him for a while."
Sakura's jaw clenched at the revelation. The dynamics of an Omega living with another Alpha were complex and often frowned upon in their society. Especially if you didn't know what was happening behind closed doors.
It was seen as shameful by other crime lords who knew the status of Naruto's second gender, and it sent the wrong message to them. The unspoken boundaries and tensions that arose from such arrangements were enough to unsettle even the most confident of Alphas.
"Sir, Naru shouldn't be living with a grown-up alpha who could hurt her." He spoke with an unfamiliar rage that bubbled inside him, and Minato turned his gaze hard and heated.
"I don't like this either, Sakura," Minato continued, his tone tinged with regret. "But Naruto is my daughter, and she definitely has her mother's advice; she won't like being told what to do; she would only want to make that decision herself."
Silence fell over the group as Sakura grappled with his conflicting emotions. "Is that why Kushina San is setting Naruto up on dates?" He asked, and Minato nodded. He looked at the target and shot twice.
It went straight towards the target's head: "Yes, that's the reason, when Naruto explained that she was going to live with Sawyer instead of us. It made my wife have a heart attack."
The line between duty and personal feelings blurred as Sakura considered the implications of Naruto living under the same roof as her Alpha boss.
"Sir, I'll talk to her. Naruto shouldn't live with another alpha, especially someone who could hurt her." Minato looked at Sakura and held his gaze before nodding his head. He had trusted the alpha, and he knew Sakura would protect his princess.
"I trust you, Sakura. I'll get Kushina to back down on sending more Alpha's towards Naruto. I really think she would appreciate you helping us with our princess."
Sakura smiles and nods his head as he goes back to shooting targets. After Naruto had left, he trained hard and was even considered one of Minato's right-hand men. He knew enough to physically kill someone without leaving a trace, and that's why he knew Minato trusted him with his work.
It also worked in his flavor that he was gaining more attention from other crime lords that he was raising in rank.
Minato watched as his protege never missed a shot and grinned with a look in his eye. He was already imagining pink-haired grandchildren. As much as he didn't want his princess to get involved with his business, he would rather her stay in school and not be used as bait.
He would prefer her being a wife to Sakura. Smirking, he called out towards him.
"Sakura You will attend a party this evening with me; Naruto should be there with Sawyer to do a job." Sakura's eyebrows furrowed. He never expected Naruto to be a killer, not at all. He was afraid of what she would become if Sawyer kept her as a soldier.
"Yes, sir." '
"I want you to keep a close eye on her; make sure she doesn't complete her task. If I see one spot of blood anywhere, you will be finished. Do you hear me?"
Sakura nodded. He wouldn't say no to a task.
~~~
Naruto stood in front of the mirror, examining her reflection. She was wearing a sleek black dress that hugged her curves perfectly, and her hair was pulled back into a neat bun. The pink strand in her hair gleamed in the light, adding a touch of color to her otherwise monochromatic outfit.
Just as she was about to leave the dressing room, Sawyer came into her heart and suddenly sped up at the sight of his tall and imposing figure in a tailored suit, appearing behind her. He eyed her up and down, a look of approval on his face.
She hated how incredibly handsome he looked when he stared down at her with his strong gaze, which had her racing; she didn't know why she was acting this way. She knew they wouldn't be together.
This alpha was her dead best friend's fiancée.
"You look stunning, Naruto," Sawyer says, his voice low and husky. "That dress really brings out the color in your hair."
Naruto felt a flush rise to her cheeks as she turned to face him. "Thank you," she says softly, trying to sound composed and not in an awkward manner.
Her boss stepped closer, a small box in his hand. "I have something for you," he said, opening the box to reveal a beautiful silver necklace. "I thought this would complement your outfit nicely."
Naruto's eyes widened as she took the necklace from him. "It's beautiful," she breathed, feeling a surge of gratitude towards her boss.
"I'm glad you like it," he said, smiling. "Now, shall we head to the party together? I have a feeling we'll make a great impression."
Naruto nodded; her blue eyes glittered with the diamond necklace. Sawyer couldn't help but stare. Naruto had grown into a beautiful omega he knew Haku would be proud of. He also knew how much stress she was going through from Minato and Kushina.
Sawyer wanted to help Naruto as much as possible, but he also knew not to mess up his chance. Hinata lost his chance the moment he broke Naruto's heart.
They left the dressing room and made their way to the car.
Sawyer's fancy sports car was beautiful against the blue moonlight; it was a silver Chevrolet Corvette.
Naruto knew Sawyer didn't like to show off his money because his family sure did, and they got him this car when he turned 16.
She could still remember the day Haku and Sawyer picked her up; the other omega had wanted Naruto to come with them on their date.
Just the thought of Haku made her feel sorrow. The car ride wasn't too long, but it was the silence that made it seem like it was.
Although Naruto was grateful for it,.
Sawyer parked, and he turned to only see Naruto facing the window, her golden locks freely against her back.
She looked so elegant and pretty that he couldn't help but reach across and cup her chin.
Sawyer moved his hand back as soon as she flinched. He looked concerned as he pressed his hand against her forehead.
"Are you okay, Naru? You don't have a fever," he says, and Naruto shakes her head with a smile.
His eyes narrow at her. "Are you sure you can do this?" Naruto tilted her head in his direction before nuzzling the hand that was now on her cheek.
"Yes, you can count on me." Sawyer nods, and his eyes soften as he watches. Naruto pressed her lips against his palm. He leaned in and kissed her cheek.
Naruto blushes at his strong scent of coal and the ocean breeze. It was so powerful that she felt overwhelmed by just being next to the alpha. That's why she had to wear a blocker most of the time.
But tonight she had to take it off so the enemy could see her as just an omega who can't hurt anyone, and since they started sleeping in the same bed, she had gotten used to the strong scent.
The room is filled with elegantly dressed guests mingling and chatting. Naruto walks with Sawyer; she walks in confidently in her stunning black dress, looking every bit the part of a high-powered executive assistant. She sticks close to Sawyer as other alpha's take notice of her. Naruto acts timid and looks away from the alpha's.
The other businessmen smile, and she bowls. They look at her with a nonchalant expression as she stutters her name out to them. Sawyer does most of the talking as Naruto stands by his side.
Unknowingly, Naruto glances around the room, her eyes locking with her target, Mr. Kaiza San, a wealthy businessman with a dangerous glint in his eye. He seems very insistent on waking over towards them with his own assistant.
Finally, after different men leave them, Mr. Kaiza approaches. Her once tense posture is now physically relaxed, and with another omega in front of her, she smiles at the other with a charming smile on her face.
Mr. Kaiza seems to notice her body language and briefly smiles before it turns cold. He looks at Sawyer, who has a dangerous glint in her eyes.
"Sawyer, always good to see you." Sawyer's eyebrow twitches, and he smiles back as his hand gets tighter on the others.
"Yes, the composition between us is always entertaining," Mr. Kaiza glared at Sawyer, while Naruto smiled at Zen. She came up to him, her hands cupping his own.
"Hello, Mr. Kaiza san. I'm Naruto, Mr. Shinho's new assistant. And it's so nice to meet you, Zen; I feel better that I'm not the only Omega here," she says with a wink, and Ken lets out a breathy laugh.
"Me too; it can get annoying that I'm the only omega," he says, rubbing his hands together in a nervous manner. Mr. Kaiza looks at them with a close eye before he introduces himself.
"Ah, Mr. Shinho, assistant. How lovely to meet you, my dear. Why don't you and Zen go get something to drink? I'm sure it would ease your nerves."
Both Naruto and Zen nod as they walk towards the belevages, including Zen, who seems to be aware of every move in the party. Naruto can tell how nervous he is and hands him a drink.
"Hey, don't be so jumpy; we got each other." She wraps her arm around his, and as she looks at him visibly relax, Naruto slides her fingers with his as her other hand dashes a small vile of liquid into his drink as she makes sure his eyes are on her own.
Zen closed his eyes and smiled. He knew Naruto was just an airhead; her cluelessness and innocence made sure of that.
'She's not a threat'
Naruto and Zen started to drown drink after drink, and Naruto watched as the other swayed against her. It seemed like he was already feeling the effects, and Naruto held onto his shoulder as she laid her head against it.
"Ugh… I don't feel so good. Do you know where the bathroom is? I seem to be a bit drunk." Naruto slurs her words, and Zen can't help but chuckle as he grasps her by the waist.
"You're not the only one... Of course, dear. Follow me; I'll show you the way." The two walk towards the restroom, and Naruto strategically leads Zen towards a more secluded area.
As they reach a quiet corner, Naruto trips over her own foot as they both lose balance, and Naruto falls on top of him. Zen goans as he and her bumped heads really hard.
His mind is already feeling dizzy, and the girl on top of him wasn't any better. Naruto looks down and sees the other's eyes in a daze. She leaned back against the other's legs as she ran her hand over his thighs.
Her blue fox eyes lit up at the feel of the flash drive, and she smiled and subtly stole the flash drive from Zen's pants, all while holding her pounding head.
"Ow… I'm sorry, are you alright, Zen?" She slips in another flash drive as she helps the other up. Zen closes his eyes and holds his own head from his pounding headache.
"It's quite alright, Naru... He slurs back and leans against her. Naruto holds him; they just sat against the wall before she knew it. Sawyer and Zen's boss are now standing in front of him.
The two bosses knew how wasteful both of them were by the red hue against their noses. Naruto had her eyes closed, and she leaned against Zen, her smile bright and big as she talked Zen's ear off while he listened.
"Oh, you know, being a personal assistant can be so confusing sometimes. I don't know how you keep track of everything!" Zen smiles and pats her head.
"It's all about organization and attention to detail, dear. You'll learn with time." Naruto nods, concealing the stolen flash drive in her thighs. Sawyer looks at her before grabbing her by the waist. She bids farewell to Zen, who holds on to his own boss.
He doesn't expect anything to happen because he can faintly feel the outline of the flash drive in his omega's pants. He says goodbye to his enemy and makes a point to push the pink lock away from her face.
Sawyer was about to snatch his hand away from Naruto, only for her to hug Zen, her smile lopsided as her words slurred.
"I hope we get to meet again, Ren." She smiles as she lets out a giggle, only to stumble back to her bowel to Mr. Kaiza, who held her steady. Sawyer glared at him as he took Naruto full force back into his arms.
"It looks like our secretary's are a little tipsy; I have sobering pills. Would you like one for Naruto?" He stuck the pill between Zen's lips until the other swallowed. Sawyer glared at the others smirk as his finger neared Naruto's.
"No thank you; Naruto will be fine." Mr. Kaiza rolled his eyes before saying a curt bye to the both of them. As soon as Zen and his boss leave them, Naruto straightens out and turns around to face Sawyer.
"Your parents are here." Her eyes go wide, and Sawyer glares down at her.
"Did you invite them here? Naruto I may work with your father, but I don't need you to be babied by him." He raised his voice at her, causing her to step back. She hated feeling his pheromones surround her.
She felt small and weak; Sawyer knew that and was pushing everything on her. If Naruto's parents were to step in and mess with his whole plan, Sawyer looked down at her clenched hands and stepped close until they were close, where she was pressed against the wall.
"Sweetness" Naruto was pulled into his chest as her blue eyes met Sakura's green foam ones. His arm held her softly, the warmth emitted to her to relax against him. Sawyer's jaw was clenched. He knew that Naruto had only kept contact with her childhood friends through phone contact.
So it pissed him off to see her wrapped around in another man's armsâ€"not just any man, an alpha.
And it had to be fucking Sakura Haruno.
Minato and his wife came, and Sawyer nodded his head at the other alpha. "Minato pleasure as always." He smiled and shook Sawyer's hand with a tight grip as his eyes lay on the others.
"Yes, as always, I hope you're taking care of my daughter tonight." Sawyer stayed quiet as his narrowed blue eyes stared at him.
"Yes, I'm. I was about to send her off for the evening." Kushina decides to step in and places her hand on her husband's shoulders as her eyes land on her daughter.
"Naruto, darling, you're showing too much cleavage. Next time, I want you to show a little less, especially since you're so against getting married."
