The royal human and vampire families were seated around the dinner table. The humans were eating their food while most of the vampires were drinking blood. It was quiet and very awkward. As expected, guards surrounded the room, making sure no harm came to the royal family, and as insulting as it was, there were only three extra vampires, Crowley, Lacus, and René. The younger vampires were currently trying to get their prince to drink his blood but refused like usual. Yuu watched in confusion and fascination. A vampire refusing blood? He had never heard of anything like that before. At first, he thought it was to make a good impression on him, but judging by the looks on the other vampires' faces, it was normal, which just raised more questions for the human prince.

"Yuu," Shinoa nudged him by kicking him under the table, "If you don't stop undressing him with your eyes, everyone is going to see, and I don't think the Queen will like you~"

A blush spread on Yuu's face as he looked at his cousin, "Excuse me?"

"You heard me."

"Yeah, well, I'm not, so shut up."

"So mean to your own cousin," Shinoa faked a pout, glancing at the vampires on the other side of the table. She smirked and loudly said, "I hope you're not mean to your future husband. If I was you, I'll run away, Prince Mikaela."

Mika stopped glaring at his friends and faced the humans. Even though he was once human, he still didn't completely understand their jokes and therefore was confused by what Shinoa said. "Why would I run?"

"He's going to be mean to you! He's mean to all his friends. There's no telling what he going to do to you!"

"Shinoa!" Guren exclaimed from the end of the table, a stern expression on his face, "Enough of your jokes."

The youngest Hiragi pouted once again, "Awe, don't be like that. I was only trying to play a little. You could cut the tension in this room with a knife."

Crowley chuckled, "I agree. I expected a little drama to happen." He then looked at the human prince, "Though it was funny to see you stare at Mikaela."

With all eyes on Yuu, he groaned and stabbed his meat, and started chewing on it aggressively. His face was hot. This was extremely embarrassing. Everyone was probably laughing at him internally, besides that little purple-haired midget and the tall vampire, who was laughing loudly. No, he wasn't undressing Mika with his eyes, he hasn't even thought about anything like that, he was just wondering why Mika was so odd, and why he felt a bit familiar. Was that wrong? Why was he always the butt of the joke?

Risking another jab at him, Yuu stared at the vampire prince again to see him staring back, a slight blush on his face. Wait- now that Yuu thought about it, aren't vampires supposed to be dead, so therefore they couldn't blush? Then how come Mika could?

All of these questions and yet, no answers. God, Yuu was a mess.

The human prince broke eye contact with the other prince and continued eating, not even bothering to look at anyone else. All he wanted was to kill all these blood-suckers and rid the world of them, but he knew if he moved in any way that they deemed threatening, he would be attacked and the war would never end. So much bloodshed. The vampires started it, so why should humans try and help stop it as well?

Krul cleared her throat to get everyone's attention, "Ms. Hiragi is correct. There is a lot of tension. The point of this visit is to discuss the marriage and the possible future of stopping the war. So, I would like to hear everyone's opinion on the matter. Is marriage the only option?"

Yuu quickly looked up. His entire body was filled with hope at the prospect of not having to marry a blood-sucker. He could put his two cents in and everyone would be forced to listen, and maybe accept his opinion.
